The purpose of this study was to look into the impacts of parental involvement in school education at three primary schools in Namibia’s Oshana Region.Parental involvement is not a new concept because numerous researchers have conducted extensive research on the topic.Teachers, students, and parents all gain significant advantages from parents participating in school programs and activities, including improved communication, the creation of interest, and the development of positive self-esteem and confidence,to name just a few.The parent involvement theory proposed by Epstein(2019)was used in the study.Three schools in the Oluno Circuit made up the study’s sample.Six parents, three teachers, and each principal from the sampled schools were also included. The participants were chosen using the purposeful sampling technique.Focus groups and semi-structured interviews were used as the data collection methods. The study discovered that the majority of parents did not attend school sessions due to a lack of adequate communication.Parents were deafeningly silent about monitoring and supervising their children’s well-being.It was obvious that a developmental program should be implemented to encourage parental involvement.Parents should have high expectations for their children’s future and academic performance.According to the findings of the interviews,a number of variables, such as parents’ low levels of education, socioeconomic status, the lack of a school policy, poor communication, and instructors’ attitudes toward parents, serve as barriers to parental involvement. From the aforementioned conclusions,it is advised that workshops on parental involvement be organized for school administrators, teachers, and parents. In addition, the study advises that teachers should give students the chance to express their expectations and concerns.
