With the rapid development of the society and tremendous changes of the era,family education plays a more and more important and irreplaceable role in the process of children's growth.Parental involvement in children's education is a direct reflection of family education to a certain degree,the effectiveness of which will result in different academic achievements.Besides,globalization makes it necessary for people to promote their awareness and understanding of the differences across cultures.Due to cultural and environmental differences between the east and the west,some theories,hypothesis and research findings from the west cannot be applied to China directly or completely.Thus,in this dissertation,college students from four different universities in Zhejiang province,in China,have been chosen as research objects to explore the salient features of effective Chinese parental involvement through their feedbacks.Its effectiveness is embodied by the fact that research objects have had the opportunities of accessing to higher education.Considering there are numerous factors influencing the effectiveness of parental involvement,three dimensions i.e.parental belief,parenting style and parenting practice have been selected in this study.On this basis,whether they are affected by parents' education degree will be further explored.In brief,this study collects the data by means of questionnaire and interview—college students'retrospect on parental belief,parenting style and parenting practices,combining with the quantitative and qualitative analysis so as to examine the effects of parents'education degree on Chinese effective parental involvement,by which draws results and comes to a conclusion:parents' education degree has a significant impact on effective parental involvement,but it does not play a decisive role in it.Parents'strong sense of self-efficacy can make up for the disadvantages brought by low education degree as well as promote children's sense of self-efficacy and ability of self-regulated learning.This research finding will benefit people being aware of the importance of family education,by means of which refers to how to effectively involve in children's education as well as perceiving the influences brought by the differences of parents' education degree on effective parental involvement.
