| According to data released by the Mental Health Center of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention in 2017,the number of mentally ill patients in my country has exceeded 100 million. As mental health problems grow,we must increase our focus on mental health. At present, the society pays more attention to the physical rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders, while ignoring the treatment of their psychological and social aspects, which is not conducive to their overall recovery.Peer support is a WHO-proven scientifically effective service method to promote the functional recovery of people with mental disorders. Therefore,it is necessary for social work to intervene in the peer support of patients with mental disorders during community rehabilitation, and to help them establish, strengthen and use a peer support network to promote the recovery of their social functions,so as to return to society smoothly.Taking the X club in City C as an example, this study relies on social support theory and group dynamics theory to explore possible ways of group work to improve peer support for patients with mental disorders during community rehabilitation.First, the researchers used observation, questionnaires and interviews to understand the peer support status of mentally disabled patients in the X club in City C,and analyzed their actual needs for peer support and several major factors that restrict the satisfaction of their needs.Secondly, according to the problems found in field observations and the results of needs assessment, the professional method of social work based on group work focuses on the three dimensions of social support, and implements the following methods:forming groups, knowing oneself, establishing mutual trust, continuously deepening feelings, learning and utilizing The peer support network maintains the group experience and ends the six-phase group activities with the group as the main content. In this process, the group continues to play a dynamic role, gradually helping the group members to strengthen each other’s objective and subjective support, and improve their ability to use peer support.capacity to enhance peer support networks. The evaluation results show that group work has a certain effect on improving the peer support status of patients with mental disorders during community rehabilitation. Finally, the researcher summarizes the research from the perspective of the research conclusions and the reasons for the good effect of the intervention, and reviews the practical process to reflect and put forward suggestions, hoping to inspire and think about future research in this field or related topics. |
