Practical Research On Social Work Intervention In Community Rehabilitation Of Rural Mental Disorder Patient

At present,there are more than 200 million patients with various mental disorders in China,including nearly 6million registered patients with severe mental disorders.It is of great significance for the patients themselves,their families and the whole society to ensure the life of this group and promote the rehabilitation of this group.For the rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders,western countries have experienced an exploration process from "institutionalized" treatment and rehabilitation to community rehabilitation.The academic community has found that community rehabilitation of patients with mental disorders can improve their mental symptoms to a certain extent,improve their quality of life,and play a positive role in their return to family and community integration.The research and practice of community rehabilitation for mental disorders in China started relatively late,and so far has not been able to form a relatively mature and perfect community rehabilitation service model.Rural patients with mental disorders lack sufficient supporting services in the process of community rehabilitation,and their rehabilitation and life are limited due to insufficient resources.Community rehabilitation for patients with mental disorders needs social support and professional services from multiple sources.As a professional helping practice,social work can participate in community rehabilitation services for patients with mental disorders,and can bring a certain positive impact on the rehabilitation and life of patients.In this paper,the author takes Xiao,a patient with mental disorders in rural Z of Zibo City,as the service object,and intervenes in the process of community rehabilitation of the service object through the method of case work.From the perspective of social support and humanism,the author estimates the needs of the service object in community rehabilitation.The author finds that the service object is facing the dilemma of insufficient informal social support,so it is necessary to improve the informal social support network of the service object,so that the informal social support network of the service object can play a more active role,and help the service object better deal with the problems encountered in the process of community rehabilitation.Therefore,the author has planned and implemented the corresponding case service activities.Through the implementation of the service,the author has helped the service object improve family relations,reduce neighborhood discrimination,consolidate and enhance the relationship between the service object and the village head,and effectively improve the informal social support network of the service object.Through the case work involved in the practical research of community rehabilitation of rural patients with mental disorders,the author draws the following conclusions: social workers start from the experience world of patients with mental disorders and treat patients with severe self isolation with an attitude of equality,respect,sincerity and acceptance,which can make them feel accepted and respected,so they can establish a professional relationship with them;The intervention service of social work has an obvious effect on the improvement of informal social support network for patients with mental disorders,helping patients improve family relations,reduce neighborhood discrimination,consolidate and enhance the relationship with the village head,thus making a positive change in the lives of patients.
