Contemporary instructional design has shifted from focusing on knowledge transfer to guiding students to actively construct knowledge,advocating an holistic task instructional design model that teaches for holistic tasks and solving practical problems,and promotes the cultivation of students ’ professional ability and literacy.The 4C/ID model proposed by Dutch educational technology expert Jeroen J.G.Van Merrienboer in 1997,it effectively integrates the teaching concept of situated cognition and constructivism.It is a holistic teaching design model to solve complex learning and is widely used in higher education and vocational and technical education.Because the design steps of this model mainly focus on the analysis and design of learning tasks and learning content,it does not give guidance to specific teaching implementation and teaching evaluation.Therefore,this paper proposes to apply the 4C/ID model and project-based learning to the teaching design.Under the guidance of the concept of vocational education,the traditional teaching design is optimized through the integrated design method to effectively improve the overall application ability of students ’ complex skills,and meet the educational purpose of vocational education to cultivate students ’ comprehensive vocational skills.Based on the analysis of the core elements and implementation steps of4C/ID model and project-based learning,this study combines holism,complexity theory,situational learning theory and collaborative learning theory to provide support for the overall teaching activities,and constitutes a theoretical framework for project-based learning based on 4C/ID model.The feasibility analysis of the integration of 4C/ID model and project-based learning is carried out from the aspects of theoretical consistency,practical complementarity and the feasibility of vocational education application.Integrating the core elements of the 4C/ID model and the elements of project-based learning,constructing a project-based learning framework based on 4C/ID model,including four aspects: theoretical framework,learning task design,learning task implementation and instructional evaluation.And analyzing the key points of application of project-based learning based on 4C/ID model.According to the framework of learning mode,designing the project-based learning activities based on 4C/ID model,and the application research of project-based learning based on 4C/ID model is carried out in a vocational school in Shaanxi Province.Through experimental comparison,it is concluded that project-based learning based on 4C/ID model can promote learning enthusiasm,classroom attention,team cooperation awareness,overall application of complex skills,and mastery of theoretical knowledge.
