On March 18,2019,General Secretary Xi Jinping held a forum for teachers of ideological and political theory courses and delivered an important speech,indicating that to achieve an effective job in ideological and political work for students,it is fundamental to implement Xi Jinping’s socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics,to implement the fundamental task of Li De Shu Ren-the establishment of moral integrity and the cultivation of personality-to cultivate new people of the time who take on the responsibility of national rejuvenation and to foster socialist builders and successors who develop morally,intellectually,physically,aesthetically and laboriously in an all-round way.Teenagers are at the "jointing and booting stage" of life that needs careful guidance and cultivation.In colleges,the people who have closest contact with students are the tutors;they are responsible for students’ ideological and theoretical education and value guidance,party,league and class construction,learning atmosphere construction,daily class affairs management,mental health education and consultation,internet-related ideological and political education,campus crisis response,career planning and employment guidance,as well as theoretical and practical research.With the rapid development of today’s society,students have varied convenient channels to acquire new knowledge and new ideas,diversified ideas but inadequate political literacy.They hold different values,and tend to be self-centered,sentimental,weak in pressure resistance,and heavily dependence on the Internet.Facing such a group of college students in the new era,college tutors have always encountered great challenges such as low teacher-student ratio,heavy workload and low social identity,which has brought tremendous professional pressure to college tutors’ work.This is not conducive to the positive construction of tutors’ team in the long term run,the management of students on campus,or students’ healthy growth and development.It is,therefore,of great importance to identify the main causes for college tutors’ occupational pressure and come up with targeted opinions and suggestions to help tutors with pressure management.Based on the organizational support theory and Robbins’ stress model,this paper employs qualitative interviews to obtain rich interview data.Using Grounded Theoryanalysis method,with the help of professional qualitative analysis software Nvivo11.0,this paper makes three-level coding of the interview content,constructs the work stress model of college tutors in Chengdu and finds out that the main factors leading to tutors’ work pressure include: The study found that from the perspective of environmental factors,social environment,working environment and family environment have brought pressure to counselors.From the perspective of organizations,insufficient work support,inadequate welfare returns and insufficient value recognition have not effectively buffered the pressure of counselors,thus further aggravating the pressure of counselors.Because of the different personal characteristics,counselors show different degrees of negative reactions in physical and psychological aspects.Compared with the past,the pressure of counselors in the new era mainly has the following three new sources of pressure: first,the high pressure brought by the new high requirements of the country;second,the students in the new era have new characteristics,and the management methods need to be innovated;third,there are obvious differences in the importance attached to the construction of counselors in colleges and universities.Related studies have shown that organizational support can effectively buffer work stress to the performance of stress response,this paper,based on the results of the study,from the three levels of environment,organization and individual,puts forward specific views and suggestions on how to alleviate work stress,how to improve job satisfaction,how to promote the process of specialization and professionalization of counselors,and how to ensure the physical and mental health of counselors.It provides some reference for the construction of the counselor team.
