In order to better implement China’s double reduction policy,promote the high-quality development of basic education,promote the development of primary and secondary school teachers’ homework design skills,and effectively reduce the homework burden of students in compulsory education.Therefore,primary and secondary schools need to make efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of classroom teaching,optimize homework design,strengthen homework management,and ensure that students learn enough and well in school.This puts new demands on primary and secondary school teachers to improve their homework design ability.In this paper,some primary and secondary school teachers and students are selected as research subjects to study the assignment design ability of primary and secondary school teachers mainly through literature method,questionnaire survey method and interview method.The connotation elements of primary and secondary school teachers’ assignment design ability are five dimensions: assignment goal design,assignment content design,assignment difficulty design,assignment evaluation design,and assignment feedback design.From the actual research,we found that there are some problems in the assignment design ability of primary and secondary school teachers under the background of double reduction,and the current situation of assignment design ability is not satisfactory,mainly in the following aspects: firstly,teachers’ awareness of assignment goal design is lacking,secondly,teachers’ design structure of assignment content is unreasonable,thirdly,teachers’ control of assignment difficulty design is unreasonable,and fourthly,teachers’ control of assignment design is unreasonable.The main problems are: first,teachers’ lack of awareness of homework goal design,second,teachers’ unreasonable structure of homework content design,third,teachers’ control of homework difficulty design,fourth,teachers’ mechanization of homework evaluation mechanism,and fifth,teachers’ narrow homework feedback channels.To address these problems,this paper proposes measures and paths for primary and secondary school teachers to improve their homework design ability in the context of "double reduction" : first,to emphasize core literacy in the design of homework objectives;second,to emphasize comprehensive application in the design of homework content;third,to focus on layering in the design of homework difficulty;fourth,to focus on development in the design of homework evaluation;and fifth,to focus on development in the design of homework evaluation.Fifth,the feedback design of homework emphasizes acceptability.By changing the concept of homework design,improving the validity of homework design,and innovating the way of homework evaluation design,we continuously promote the improvement of primary and secondary school teachers’ homework design ability.
