| Childhood is the golden period of movement development in a person’s life, and the development of gross movements in childhood plays a crucial role in the establishment of individual physical activity and behavioral abilities.Children with intellectual disabilities have slower gross motor development than ordinary children, and there are phenomena such as clumsy and slow movements, hand eye coordination, and abnormal posture. The purpose of this study is to improve the gross movement of children with intellectual disabilities.Using the methods of literature review, experiment, and mathematical statistics,we explored the intervention effect of badminton on the development of gross movement of children with intellectual disabilities. We selected 16 children with intellectual disabilities from a special education school in Nanjing as experimental subjects and conducted a 12-week badminton intervention."TGMD-2" Gross Movement Test Scale was used to evaluate the gross movements of the subjects before and after the experiment.Research results: After 12 weeks of badminton intervention, the gross movements of children with mental retardation in the experimental group had a good overall improvement and significant intervention effect(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, children in the experimental group showed significant improvement in body movement movements such as "running","standing long jump","one legged jump","sliding step",and "cross jump"(P<0.05).There was a significant difference in the three object control actions of "overhand throwing," "groundball," and "kicking" between the experimental group and the control group(P<0.05).Research conclusions:1.Badminton sports intervention has a good promotion effect and significant intervention effect on the gross movements of children with intellectual disabilities, and the development of body displacement movements is superior to object control movements.2.Badminton sports intervention has a significant improvement effect on the body movement of children with intellectual disabilities, mainly reflected in the four basic movements of body movement: "running","side sliding step","forward sliding step",and "cross jump".3.Badminton sports intervention has a relatively positive impact on the object control actions of children with intellectual disabilities, mainly manifested in the three basic actions of object control: "overhand throwing," "groundball," and "hitting the fixed ball.". |
