For the first time,motor development was included as an important goal of healthy development for young children in the Guidelines for Learning and Development of Children Aged 3-6.as well as being tied to the healthy growth of the individual,early childhood development is the lifeblood of the future development of a nation.the key period for children’s gross motor development is between the ages of 3 and 6.Playing football during this period can not only improve their metabolic levels and various physical qualities,but also consolidate their basic motor skills and promote their mastery of a variety of motor skills.It can also improve their social communication and teamwork ability.Continue to build a foundation for learning more complex technical movements.however,there is a lack of research in the national academic community on the relationship between soccer and gross motor development,and the few studies that have been conducted are limited to the macro level.based on this,this study takes the creation of soccer games for 4-5 years old children based on the goal of gross motor ability development as the research object,and uses scientific research methods such as literature method,expert interview method,scale measurement method,and Delphi method to create soccer games for young children.We also applied the created soccer games to the teaching of 4-5 year old children for an experimental study.to explore and analyze the effect of soccer games on the level of large muscle movement development of 4-5 year old toddlers.to provide new ideas for designing soccer games for young children,to provide a theoretical basis for future teaching of young children,to enrich the academic research field of young children’s soccer,and to broaden the way of gross motor development for 4-5 year-old children.Based on the analysis of research and experimental data,the following conclusions are drawn:(1)A series of 36 soccer games for young children were designed,through the expert evaluation and practical examination,the designed soccer games are basically feasible.according to the physical and mental development characteristics of 4-5 years old children,the characteristics of teaching young children,and the organic combination of the law of the gross motor development for young children and soccer games.(2)When designing soccer games for young children,the principles of safety,education,science,goal,fun,relevance,and comprehensiveness are always followed.The methods of making soccer games for young children are diverse and can be adapted,imitated,contextualized,transplanted,combined and modified.(3)The football games based on gross motor development were significantly better than the daily sport activities organized by the kindergarten in promoting the motor skills of the4-5 years old,the four movements of throwing the ball over the shoulder in the manipulative motor,kicking a stationary ball and balancing on one foot in the stability motor and jumping on heights.however,in the three movements of rolling sideways and slapping the ball in place with one hand and hitting the bouncing ball with a one-handed grip,the results were not as good as in the daily physical activity organized by the kindergarten.This means that the content of the football game needs to be further improved in these three movements.(4)The 12-week football game intervention found,that the game was effective in improving the overall level of gross motor development of the 4-5 years old,and was significantly more effective than the daily physical activity organized in the preschool.(5)It was found that male children had significantly better skill levels than female children in the dimensions of mobility and manipulative movement during the 12-week intervention following the football game.on the dimension of stability movement,female toddlers had better motor skill levels than male toddlers.no significant differences existed between the groups in the overall level of gross motor development.In response to these findings,the following recommendations are made:(1)Design soccer games with the physical and mental developmental characteristics of young children and the principles of soccer development in mind.integrate young children’s movement development characteristics and early childhood education and teaching characteristics;Be innovative,use soccer games to cultivate young children’s ability to turn over,dribble,bend,carry,pass,pull,pluck,kick,stop,straddle,throw and other abilities with the ball,as well as the ability to run,jump,turn and stop sharply without the ball,create more goals that are clear,rich in content,novel in form and scientifically comprehensive.(2)The teachers should encourage children to actively participate in soccer and promote the formation and development of children’s gross motor development such as walking,running,jumping,throwing,shooting,climbing,and clambering.etc.(3)In the future,kindergartens should create more soccer games with high physical activity participation,taking into account the principles of fun,science and comprehensiveness according to the actual situation of the school.At the same time,they should coordinate the relationship between soccer activities and other physical activities in the school,comprehensively develop children’s basic movement skills,and realize a layout with soccer characteristics and comprehensive development.(4)In order to dynamically monitor the development of children’s basic motor skills,kindergartens should establish a scientific testing system.Testing systems such as Gross Motor Development Tests or Physical Fitness Tests can be used to monitor children’s basic motor skills on a regular basis.(5)In the development of soccer games for 4-5 years old,it is important to focus on the development of both large muscle motor skills and small muscle motor skills.
