The advent of the era of big data has introduced new challenges and opportunities for innovation and development in this field.In this new era,ideological and political education in universities needs to uphold fundamental principles and break new ground.Only by upholding fundamental principles can universities avoid losing the direction and making subversive mistakes,and only by breaking new ground can they innovate in order to grasp the times and lead the era.This paper aims to address the contemporary issue of how to combine traditional strengths with new requirements to achieve innovation in different dimensions and levels of ideological and political education in universities and colleges in the era of big data.Drawing on teaching practice and using theoretical research and empirical investigation,it provides scientific guidance for upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground in college ideological and political education in the era of big data.The paper is divided into three parts:The first part(chapters 1 and 2)provides a basic analysis of the topic.It interprets the theoretical basis for the innovation of college ideological and political education under the background of big data from three levels: concept clarification,root cause analysis,and philosophical basis.Drawing on Marxist philosophy,it provides theoretical analysis and support for the research on maintaining righteousness and innovation in college ideological and political education in the era of big data through the excavation of excellent Chinese traditional culture and the practice of the Chinese Communist Party in the context of big data.The second part(chapters 3 and 4)analyzes the current situation of ideological and political education.Beginning with an overview of the construction and practical effects of traditional ideological and political courses in universities and colleges,the paper summarizes the experience of traditional ideological and political education in upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground.It conducts a comprehensive investigation and analysis of the current situation,the problems,and the causes behind the upholding fundamental principles and breaking new ground of ideological and political education in universities and colleges in the era of big data,and sorts out the actual effects achieved from the educational subject,object,mediator,and ring body.This section effectively reveals and focuses on the key problems faced by ideological and political education in universities and colleges in the era of big data,exploring the main influencing factors in its development problems to achieve reasonable and efficient countermeasures.The third part(Chapter 5)concludes the analysis of the paper.The study aims to integrate big data into the ideological and political education of universities and colleges to uphold fundamental principles and break new ground,and to promote more scientific,relevant,and effective education in the era of big data.The paper concludes by suggesting that maintaining a political,theoretical,scientific,and valueoriented approach is crucial to promoting the evolution of teaching concepts,realizing personalized and intelligent teaching modes,and scientific management,and to continuously giving ideological and political education new meaning in the context of the times.
