According to research data released by People’s Daily Health App,Health Times and Alzheimer’s Disease Branch(ADC)of China Geriatric Health Care Association in2020,there are 15.07 million Alzheimer’s patients aged 60 and above in China, and the number will exceed 40 million by 2050.Mild cognitive impairment(MCI)is a transitional condition between normal aging and Alzheimer’s disease(AD).It is most prominent in memory loss, but does not interfere with normal life.Studies show that the average annual conversion rate of Mild cognitive impairment to Alzheimer’s disease is 10% to 15%,about 10 times that of the general elderly. If not timely intervention,it will develop into serious cognitive impairment and dysfunction in a few years, which will adversely affect the health and quality of life of the elderly. At present, there are controversies about drug therapy for Mild cognitive impairment,so non-drug therapy has attracted attention. The author conducted a five-and-a-half-month internship in a social work institution in W City,Hubei Province, mainly responsible for the service projects of the X nursing home.During the practice, using participant observation and structured interview method to survey in the old man, found that there are elderly memory loss, and to have higher participation game activities, the author selected the standard eight mild cognitive impairment in old people to participate in the two months of play therapy group activities. The activity consists of three parts: reality-oriented training, finger exercise training, and sensory game training. The team members are given visual perception games, auditory perception games, olfactory perception games, tactile perception games and the training of comprehensive perception games helps the elderly with mild cognitive impairment improve various sensory memory abilities through game activities, thereby improving their cognitive functions. Before and after the group, the group members were measured with a scale, and the influence of the game therapy group on the memory of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment was assessed from both objective and subjective perspectives.Through observation and analysis, the author found that the use of game therapy can improve the memory of the elderly with MILD cognitive impairment, the elderly quickly integrate into activities in a relaxed atmosphere, change the misunderstanding of mild cognitive impairment, enhance interpersonal communication between each other. The application of play therapy to improve memory of the elderly with MILD cognitive impairment also has shortcomings. For example, play therapy has high requirements for social workers, and multiple types of game activities enhance the access threshold of service objects. There is still a great space for development of the research on the intervention of play therapy in memory of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment.
