With the deepening of the new curriculum reform,the importance of teaching ancient poetry has become more prominent as the unified version of high school language textbooks has increased the number of ancient poems.As the most frequently appearing imagery in ancient poetry,plants are often given different symbolic meanings by poets,and are a unity of objective objects and subjective emotions,so analyzing plant imagery is an important way to interpret ancient poetry.Plant imagery contains abundant pedagogical values and undertakes the important task of improving language core literacy.The thesis is based on the theoretical basis of the General High School Language Curriculum Standards,and takes plant imagery as the entry point to explore the meaning of the plant imagery appearing in the ancient poems in the unified version of the high school language textbook,conducts a survey on the current situation of high school teaching of ancient poems with plant imagery by means of a questionnaire,analyzes the current problems of teaching ancient poems and their causes,and proposes effective strategies for teaching ancient poems with plant imagery in the context of the current situation.This study can provide reference for teaching botanical imagery in high school ancient poems and implement the requirements of language curriculum standards.The introductory part mainly includes the background of the study,the current situation of the study,the significance of the study and the research method,which lay the theoretical foundation for this study.The first chapter defines the core concept of "imagery" and " plant imagery",systematically analyzes plant imagery in ancient poems in the unified version of high school language textbooks,and categorizes plant imagery from two approaches: natural properties and symbolic meanings.The second chapter applies the research of questionnaire survey to the current situation of teaching plant imagery in high school ancient poems to teachers and students respectively,and conducts problem and cause analysis on the current situation in accordance with teaching methods,teaching contents and teaching effects.The third chapter proposes strategies for teaching plant imagery in ancient poems based on the existing problems,combined with the requirements of the standard and our own practice,which mainly includes five aspects: familiar reading and intensive thinking,focusing on the connotation of plant imagery;integrating resources to deepen the understanding of plant imagery;multiple comparisons to identify the differences of plant imagery;expanding and extending to strengthen the application of plant imagery and tracing the roots to explore the culture of plant imagery.The fourth chapter focuses on specific instructional design using the proposed teaching strategies from three perspectives: intensive reading teaching,thematic teaching and group text comparison teaching.A summary reflection is made in conjunction with classroom teaching,and an outlook on teaching plant imagery is presented.
