| In 2016,the Ministry of Education and other 11 departments issued Opinions on Study Trips of Primary and Secondary Schools which emphasizes that study trip is an effective behavior path to carry out the fundamental task of promoting morality and cultivating students.In 2017,the Biology Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools issued by the Ministry of Education formally puts forward the four core qualities of the biology subject and emphasizes that developing students’ core biology qualities is a necessary way to realize comprehensive and practical education.Study trip is an important way to develop students’ core qualities.In 2020,the Ministry of Education issued the Guidelines for Labor Education in Universities,Primary and Secondary Schools,emphasizing that labor practice should be the main educational way to develop students’ core qualities.Therefore,it is of great importance to carry out the design and practice of study trip cases based on the cultivation of core biology quality and integrate labor educational concepts,as a result,to implement the requirements of China on basic education.After a thorough review and analysis of the core biology qualities,relevant contents of study trips,this study adopted the method of literature analysis to carry out the design of high school’s biology study trip cases based on the biology curriculum standard and the core biology qualities.The following research work was conducted:1.The questionnaires to investigate middle school biology teachers and students were designed.The questionnaire for teachers covered five aspects: basic information,the awareness level,the recognition level,relevant information in the design of study trips and willingness to carry out study trips.The questionnaire for students investigated the status quo of biology study trips in high schools from four aspects: basic information,willingness to participate in study trips,relevant information in the design of study trips and the implementation of study trips,so as to further understand the participation level and willingness level of teachers and students in high schools’ biology study trips.Solutions are also put forward targeting at the existing deficiencies.2.Through literature review,this paper combined the requirements on the curriculum standard content and students’ current development to divide the biology study trips into four types according to the resource attributes,the national recognition of the types of study trips and relevant biology study trips carried out by middle schools.The four types of biology study trips are: natural resources type,agricultural resources type,industrial resources type and medical resources type;A large number of high school biology study trips cases carried out in Jiangxi Province and Shandong Province were collected,from which 11 typical cases were screened out for analysis,and the advantages and weakness of the selected cases were sorted out.3.This paper carried out the case design and practice activities of biology study trips in high schools based on the core biology quality.The setting of design principles,the determination of the design types,the selection of the contents of study trips,the confirmation of the objectives and the design of activities’ assessment of study trips were all included.Labor education activities were also integrated into the design of study tripsTwo cases were designed based on the high school biology study trips’ activities with biology quality at its core.The two cases are "Harvest Year in Naval Orange Town",and "Exploring Ecological Agriculture and Understanding Farming Culture".The case "Harvest Year in Naval Orange Town" is designed by combining the characteristic resources of Jiangxi Province,while the case "Exploring Ecological Agriculture and Understanding Farming Culture" is designed by combining the resources with Shandong Province’s characteristics and is optimized based on the feedback of Case 1.The case "Harvest Year in Naval Orange Town" carried out practical activities.The school that carried out the study trip is No.3 Middle School in Ganzhou City,Jiangxi Province.The case covered three projects,namely "Navel Orange Wine","Navel Orange Essential Oil" and "Navel Orange Farm".The design of this study trip mainly aims at solving the related problems found in literature review and research,such as the lack of thorough participation,the lack of exploration activities and the lack of labor activities which cause the issue of "travel activities account for a larger proportion than studying activities,while study activities are not deep enough for further investigation".The case "Harvest Year in Naval Orange Town evaluation system" designed an activity-assessment system based on the core biology quality and labor education to evaluate the effect of the study trip.Through the quantitative evaluation,the case found that all the students were qualified.Through the analysis of students’ self-evaluation and other’s evaluation,students reflected that they have realized the value of working.Their innovative ability and practical ability have been improved,and they have performed well in the study trip.Students and teachers reported that the study trip met the requirements of the core biology quality,which is of great significance to the overall development of students.This study collected and sorted out the types and cases of high school biology trips based on the core biology quality,carried out the design and practical activities of study trips based on the core biology quality and local characteristics,and provided research and practical guidance for high school biology to carry out study trips based on local characteristics and textbook contents. |
