Research On The Improvement Of Practical Teaching Ability Of Ideological And Political Course Teachers In Colleges And Universities In The New Era

Since socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the Party and the State have attached more and more importance to the construction of the teaching team of ideological and political theory courses(hereinafter referred to as "Civics")in colleges and universities."The key to running a good Civics course is the teachers.As a part of the teaching ability of college teachers,the improvement of practical teaching ability is in line with the new direction of the Party and the State,and the new requirement of "internal development" of college teachers,which can meet the new expectations of students for a better Civics class in the new era.The teachers of college Civics course have good practical teaching ability,which not only helps to create strong teachers and promote the overall development of college Civics course teachers,but also helps to implement the fundamental task of establishing moral education and build the main position of ideological work.This paper is entitled "Research on the Enhancement of Practical Teaching Ability of College Civics Course Teachers in the New Era".Firstly,it defines the meaning and components of practical teaching ability,and then elaborates its theoretical basis and profoundly explains its ideological resources from four bases:Marxist view of practice and the theory of comprehensive human development,French Paul Langeland’s theory of lifelong education and the theory of teachers’ professional development stages,and also clarifies the importance of enhancing the practical teaching ability of college civics courses in the new era.Secondly,through literature analysis method,comprehensive research method and questionnaire survey method,we summarize and conclude the current problems of practical teaching ability of teachers in Civics and Political Science class,and determine the practical teaching ability of teachers in Civics and Political Science class in terms of teachers’ teaching design skills,teachers’ level of combining theory with practice,teachers’ ability to develop teaching forms,teachers’ ability to organize and manage teaching,teachers’ ability to reflect and evaluate teaching,teachers’ ability to use teaching media,etc.The teachers’ teaching ability should be strengthened and improved.Once again,an in-depth analysis of the causes of the problems is conducted,mainly from six aspects: insufficient awareness of the capacity enhancement of the teachers of the new era Civics and Political Science course,insufficient practical ability and experience of the teachers of the new era Civics and Political Science course,insufficient atmosphere for the capacity enhancement of the teachers of the new era Civics and Political Science course,insufficient platform construction for the capacity enhancement of the teachers of the new era Civics and Political Science course,inadequate system for the capacity enhancement of the teachers of the new era Civics and Political Science course,student participation,etc.The analysis of the reasons for this is presented.Finally,six feasible countermeasures are proposed for the problems of practical teaching ability of college teachers of Civics and Political Science in the new era.They are: to strengthen the awareness of ability and make the teachers of college Civics and Political Science class consciously improve their practical teaching ability;to consolidate the foundation of internal work and improve the practical teaching ability of teachers of college Civics and Political Science class in all aspects;to create an excellent environment and improve the practical teaching ability of teachers of college Civics and Political Science class;to standardize the system management and guarantee the practical teaching ability of teachers of college Civics and Political Science class;to build a diversified platform and open up the channels to improve the practical teaching ability of teachers of college Civics and Political Science class;to actively absorb the feedback from students and promote the practical teaching ability of teachers of college Civics and Political Science class.To build a multi-faceted platform to open up channels for the improvement of practical teaching ability of teachers of Civics and Political Science in colleges and universities.
