As an indispensable part of junior high school history textbooks,illustrations play an important role in teaching and learning.It can help students learn to obtain historical information from various channels,improve students’ reading ability of historical materials,and help teachers improve the quality of history teaching.Take the first volume of history textbook of Grade 7 as an example.According to the location of illustration,textbook illustration can be divided into cover illustration,unit illustration,text illustration and after-class activity illustration.According to the form and content of illustrations,textbook illustrations can be divided into six types: historical relics drawings,historical maps,historical charts,calligraphy drawings,historical relics drawings and other types of illustrations.Through sorting out textbook illustrations,it can be found that illustrations are representative,intuitive,historical,supplementary and inspiring,and play different roles in teachers’ teaching and students’ learning.According to the classification and characteristics of textbook illustrations,teachers need to master the application methods of different types of illustrations.It is suggested that teachers should pay attention to the recessive knowledge of illustrations and use them to guide students to preview before class.In classroom teaching,teachers can use illustrations to introduce new lessons and arouse students’ interest in learning.Use illustrations to teach new lessons,create historical situations,and help students master the important and difficult points.After class,it is necessary to reflect on whether the design and application of illustrations in teaching design and teaching activities are reasonable and whether the expected goals are achieved. |
