"Synthesis and practice" is one of the curriculum contents mentioned in Compulsory Education Mathematics Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition).Its effective implementation is an important way for students to learn mathematical knowledge and master mathematical methods,and it is an important carrier to accumulate the experience of basic mathematical activities.Accordingly,the columns of "Mathematical Activities" and "Synthesis and Practice" are set up in the textbook,so it is of great significance to study the setting and illustration of the columns of "Mathematical activities" and "synthesis and practice" in the textbook of junior middle school mathematics,which is of great significance to improve students’ mathematical performance.This thesis takes the current eight editions of middle school mathematics textbooks in our country as the research object,and compares and studies the contents of "mathematical activities" and "synthesis and practice".For the convenience of representation,the following collectively refers to the contents of "mathematical activities".The conclusions are as follows:(1)the type of situation: scientific situation first,professional situation second,personal situation third,social situation lowest;(2)Situational authenticity: the proportion of completely real situation and constructed situation is similar,but the proportion of quasi-real situation is very small;(3)The content of "mathematical activities" is dominated by absolutely necessary situations,with few relevant and necessary situations and few or no irrelevant situations;(4)The authenticity and necessity of illustrations: the Beijing edition,the People’s Education Edition and the Suzhou Edition,the three editions of the "mathematics activities" content of the illustration necessity level is high but the authenticity level is low.In the Shanghai,Northern and Hebei textbooks,the necessity level of "mathematics activities" content illustration is high but the authenticity level is relatively low.The percentage of necessity level in the textbooks of Hunan Education Edition and China Normal University with high proportion of real illustrations is in the middle position.Suggestions for writing:(1)Properly highlight the personalized features of "mathematical activities";(2)effectively improve the authenticity level of the context setting of "mathematical activities" content in mathematics textbooks;(3)moderately strengthen the necessity level of the context setting of "mathematical activities" content in mathematics textbooks;(4)Reasonably regulate the authenticity and necessity level of the illustrations of "mathematical activities" content in mathematics textbooks.
