The 20 National Congress proposed to foster a culture of innovation and create an atmosphere of innovation.Fine arts courses have strong operability and thinking,which can better promote the development of students’ innovation ability.Moreover,fine arts innovation ability can also help students to comprehensively apply the knowledge of other disciplines to promote the development of life and the all-round development of personal quality.Therefore,in the new era of advocating innovative education,the cultivation of artistic innovation ability is particularly important.However,in the art class,it is difficult for teachers to make a standard evaluation on the art works presented by students.It is always a difficult problem to observe the innovative ability of students from their art works and the process of creating their works,and to evaluate their innovative ability.Art teachers also find it difficult to teach students art knowledge in a targeted way.This indicates that it is an urgent need of art education in compulsory education to clarify each dimension of students’ art innovation ability and intuitively understand the current level of students’ art innovation ability.It is also of practical significance to scientifically construct the evaluation index system of junior middle school students’ art innovation ability.The construction of the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability is also helpful for junior high school teachers to make a scientific diagnosis of students’ art innovation ability,timely discover the problems existing in training,and carry out targeted art teaching.This study uses literature research method,inductive deduction method,investigation method,analytic hierarchy process,mathematical and other qualitative and quantitative methods.Based on the existing educational evaluation research ideas,this study starts with the operational definition of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability,and preliminarily draws up the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability through literature research.It adopts the expert consultation method to issue questionnaires to experts to revise the first and second indexes,and carries out two rounds of surveys on relevant experts.After that,the index system was improved according to experts’ suggestions,and the final evaluation index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability was obtained.Then the index weight is calculated by AHP.Then,according to the index system,the test tool is developed and compiled,and the scoring standard is set up.Finally,this paper verifies and applies the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability by statistical analysis method,and analyzes the results.Specific ideas and conclusions are as follows:Firstly,the construction of junior high school students art innovation ability operational definition.This study firstly defines the connotation of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability through literature research,and then builds an operational definition of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability based on this connotation.Secondly,construct the index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability.This study first clarified the connotation and operational definition of junior high school students’ art innovation ability,and based on this,preliminarily formulated the index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability.Secondly,the index system is revised for two rounds through literature research,investigation and expert consultation,and finally,the index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability is verified and improved according to the opinions of experts.The final evaluation index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability consists of3 first-level indexes and 7 second-level indexes.The secondary indexes are insight,imagination,value,extensibility,practicality,appreciation and sensibility.Thirdly,verify the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability.Based on the observation points of the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ art innovation ability,this study first compiled the test tools and scoring standards for junior high school students’ art innovation ability.Secondly,junior high school students in Chongqing were selected as the research object to verify the evaluation index system.This study focuses on the construction and verification of the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability,including the analysis of the connotation of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability,clear the operational definition of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability,and the construction of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability evaluation index system.The difficulty of this study lies in the construction of the evaluation index system of junior high school students’ artistic innovation ability,the compilation of test tools and the establishment of scoring standards.The innovation point lies in the first construction of junior high school students art innovation ability evaluation index system and compilation of relevant assessment tools.However,due to time constraints and multiple outbreaks,this study has limitations such as small sample size and narrow scope.
