With the development of times and the deepening of basic education curriculum reform,the demand for talents with interdisciplinary literacy,comprehensive practical ability and innovative ability is increasingly rising.Focusing on mathematics,the field of "synthesis and practice",based on the typical characteristics of comprehensiveness and practicality,provides a platform for students to learn mathematics,do mathematics and use mathematics,and plays an important role in cultivating students’ application consciousness,innovation consciousness and practical ability.However,from the perspective of front-line teaching practice,there are still some problems in the field of mathematics "synthesis and practice",such as the marginalization of teaching orientation,the lack of student participation,and the insufficient exploration of activities,which make it difficult to exert its unique value.The "Mathematics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 edition)" focuses on teaching in the field of "synthesis and practice",and indicates the corresponding learning styles as thematic learning and project-based learning.Therefore,based on the needs of improving teaching practice and the clear requirements of the new curriculum standard,this study applies project-based learning to the teaching in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics,aiming at improving the current teaching status,giving full play to the educational value of "synthesis and practice",and providing certain references and ideas for front-line teachers to apply project-based learning in the field of "synthesis and practice".Effectively implement the latest curriculum standards concept.First of all,this study makes a theoretical analysis of the application of project-based learning in the "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics.On the basis of referring to the existing research and grasping the spirit of the new curriculum standard,it clarifies the basic characteristics of project-based learning and analyzes the relevance and value of the application of project-based learning in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics.Secondly,with the help of text analysis method,this study makes an overall analysis of the content in the field of "synthesis and practice" in the mathematics textbook of the People’s Education Press from the aspects of the number of topics and the content of topics,so as to understand its arrangement.After that,combined with the existing classification of activities in the field of mathematics "synthesis and practice" and the teaching paradigm of project-type discipline practice activities,the projects that can be carried out in the field of mathematics "synthesis and practice" in primary school can be summarized into four types: scientific inquiry,social investigation,design and development and comprehensive application.Thirdly,this study explains the application design of project-based learning in "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics,including design principles,constituent elements,basic processes and design templates.First,determine the design principles of subjectivity,reality and comprehensiveness.Second,clarify the eight elements of project-based learning in elementary school mathematics "synthesis and practice",including project theme,project objective,project context,etc.Thirdly,according to its constituent elements,the basic processes of different types of projects in the field of "synthesis and practice" in primary school mathematics are sorted out from four stages.Fourthly,it provides a design template for project-based learning in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics to solve the problem of how to use project-based learning to design teaching activities in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics.Then,this study puts forward the application strategy of project-based learning in the "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics,which mainly focuses on the project preparation stage,project introduction stage,project implementation stage and project evaluation stage mentioned in the application design.On the basis of the application experience of existing excellent cases,this paper summarizes the specific strategies of applying project-based learning to the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics,and solves the problem of how teachers apply project-based learning in the field of "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics.Finally,this study provides a concrete case for the application of project-based learning in "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics.In order to provide reference for the design and application of more project types through a case,this study selects the comprehensive application project "Water is the Source of Life" for design and implementation.On the basis of observing the implementation process and,combined with the interview method to reflect on the case,found the shortcomings,and then put forward targeted suggestions for improvement,in order to provide case reference for front-line teachers.
