Qiong Opera has unique cultural values and artistic charm,integrating literature,art,performance and music,and is a comprehensive art.For secondary school students,Qiong Opera not only contains fine traditional virtues and rich history and culture,but is also an important basis for cultivating students’ emotions,attitudes and values,as well as an important way to promote and cultivate students’ national spirit and inspire them to inherit and love the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation.This article examines the history of Qiong Opera and analyses the necessity and feasibility of its use in high school history teaching.The investigation and analysis of the use of Qiong Opera in high school history teaching in Hainan,with high school history teachers in Hainan as the target audience,reveals that there are currently many problems with the use of Qiong Opera scripts,such as a disregard for humanities education,the difficulty of organising the content and the conservative thinking of teachers in teaching.Not all Qiong opera scripts are suitable for high school history teaching,so certain principles should be adhered to when developing Qiong opera scripts,with the content of the textbook at the core,attention to screening and timely application,and the development of scripts that are authentic,interesting and educational.In order to achieve effective integration between the script and the teaching of Hainan history,the script was integrated with the specific teaching tasks and knowledge points in the Chinese and foreign history syllabus,using the May Fourth Movement and the Birth of the Communist Party of China as the main teaching case.The classroom is enriched by the use of Qiong opera scripts from the May 4th Movement and the Birth of the Communist Party of China as the main teaching case,the use of the Patriotic Movement and the Provincial Strike,and the use of Qiong opera scripts as a film and television resource to enrich classroom teaching.To sum up,this paper focuses on the analysis of the history teaching resources contained in Qiongju from the perspective of history teaching in Hainan high schools,taking Qiongju as the object of study and relying on Chinese and foreign history outlines on how to use these historical resources in history teaching.
