Vocational enlightenment education is an introductory education on sacred occupation for children,which contains the initial cultivation of professional cognition,professional ideal and professional ethics.It is a new requirement for China’s educational development for vocational colleges to participate in primary vocational enlightenment education.The participation of vocational colleges can give full play to the advantages of educational resources such as training facilities,teachers and professional courses,and promote the implementation of vocational enlightenment education in primary schools.Judging from the difficulties faced by primary school vocational enlightenment education,it is urgent to stabilize the position of vocational colleges in the process of primary school vocational enlightenment education.This study explores the problems existing in vocational colleges’ participation in primary vocational enlightenment education at present,analyzes the causes and puts forward the improvement countermeasures.At the beginning of the research,the theoretical basis and value demands of vocational colleges’ participation in primary vocational enlightenment education were analyzed,which established the theoretical and practical basis for the research.After that,interviews were conducted with teachers and leaders of vocational colleges and primary schools to find out the present situation of vocational colleges’ participation in primary vocational enlightenment education.At the same time,Haikou Tourism Vocational School,the "comprehensive practice base" of primary and secondary schools in Haikou City,is selected to conduct in-depth research on its practice of vocational enlightenment education,and strive to have a fuller and deeper understanding of the present situation.It is found that vocational colleges’ participation in primary vocational enlightenment education has achieved initial results.For example,Haikou Tourism Vocational School keeps exploring and innovating,relying on activities,courses,etc.to actively carry out vocational enlightenment education and serve many primary schools in Haikou City,which to some extent enhances students’ professional cognition and career planning awareness.However,on the whole,there are still poor cooperation effects in the practice of vocational colleges participating in primary vocational enlightenment education;Teachers are weak;Insufficient curriculum construction and other urgent problems to be solved.The reasons are as follows: The shackles of traditional ideas;Lack of institutional guarantee;Insufficient endogenous power.Finally,the paper puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions to promote vocational colleges to participate in primary vocational enlightenment education.The government promotes it as a whole,providing multiple guarantees for vocational colleges to participate in vocational enlightenment education.Deep integration of general education and vocational education to promote the implementation of primary vocational enlightenment education.Gather superior resources and innovate the implementation ways for vocational colleges to participate in primary vocational enlightenment education.
