Research On The Image Of Children’s Internet Celebrities In Mobile Short Video

Children’s online celebrity has become popular on the Tiktok platform with its extremely good-looking and humorous image,attracting a large number of users’ attention and becoming a member of the army of "cloud baby raising".Children who have become popular quickly on the Internet have also attracted the attention of many experts and scholars and generated many disputes on children’s online celebrity.This article uses the Crore Mother and Child Parent List from July 2021 to June 2022 as a reference,selects 30 children’s online celebrities based on the number of fans and likes they have received.Using content analysis and participatory observation to analyzes the different image types,causes,and impacts of children’s online celebrities.The study found that the online celebrity images of children in the Tiktok platform can be divided into children who win in appearance,children who are humorous,children who are warm and healing,children who are versatile and other types of children.The reasons why children’s online celebrities present different images mainly include two aspects: from the perspective of video producers,parents record children’s online celebrity images at different ages,commercial capital package and shape their online celebrity images;From the perspective of users,young women in third-tier cities prefer to watch short videos of children’s online celebrity.The shaping of children’s online celebrity images needs to meet users’ needs to watch short videos of children,such as entertainment to relieve pressure,meet users’ yearning for a happy family,and the sense of companionship and participation brought by watching videos for a long time.The impact of children’s online celebrity images includes both positive and negative aspects.On the one hand,it helps to establish correct parenting concepts in the process of creating children’s online celebrity images,and can also eliminate stereotypes about gender,body shape,and family structure to a certain extent;On the other hand,the image of children’s online celebrity faces the problems of excessive entertainment,instrumentalization and commercialization.In response to the above problems,the author puts forward the following suggestions: Parents and schools should work together to cultivate children to establish correct moral values;Respect the true image and growth rules of children,and retain their innocence;Pay attention to children’s physical and mental health and happy growth,protect children’s privacy.Children’s online celebrity is not only a minor who has not yet matured physically and mentally and needs to be taken care of,but also because their identity has attracted many people’s attention.It requires the concerted efforts of the public and scholars to provide positive guidance and create a harmonious and friendly growth environment for children.
