As the future of the country and the hope of the nation,the health of teenagers is related to the development of the motherland.Oral health is not only an important part of general health,but also an important symbol of social civilization and progress.However,the oral health awareness and concept of Chinese people are generally backward.Many teenagers are suffering from some common oral diseases because they can’t get the correct guidance from society and family during their growth.Junior middle school stage is a rapid physical and mental development period of teenagers,and it is also a formation period of oral health concepts and behaviors.Oral health education for junior middle school students can help them establish good oral health behaviors,reduce the occurrence of oral diseases and promote their healthy growth.Biology is a subject closely related to oral health in middle school curriculum,and its characteristics are also conducive to oral health education,which can help students understand the physiological basis of oral health.Therefore,it is an important way to promote the healthy development of students by infiltrating oral health education into junior middle school biology teaching.First of all,this paper summarized the research status at home and abroad by consulting and collecting relevant literature and materials.Meanwhile,combined with Biology Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)and junior high school biology textbook published by People’s Education Edition,the feasibility of infiltrating oral health education into junior high school biology teaching was analyzed.Secondly,in order to understand the oral health status of junior middle school students,a questionnaire survey was conducted on oral health knowledge,behavior and attitude of two classes in grade 7 of a middle school in Heyuan City.The results showed that students had a correct attitude towards oral health education,but their awareness of related knowledge is low,and bad oral health behaviors are widespread.Subsequently,the oral health education materials in junior high school biology textbooks were fully excavated,the teaching methods of infiltrating oral health education were established,the teaching design was formed,and the teaching practice of infiltrating oral health education was carried out for the students in the experimental class.After a semester of oral health education infiltration practice,the questionnaire was distributed to students again.The results showed that the oral health knowledge awareness rate of students has been greatly improved,and their oral health behaviors and attitudes towards oral health education have been improved.The results showed that the penetration of oral health education in junior middle school biology teaching is helpful for students to master oral health-related knowledge,improve some bad oral health-care behaviors,change students’ attitude towards oral health in a positive direction,and promote students to grow up comprehensively and healthily and pass puberty smoothly.
