Facing the inevitable demand for high-quality development of preschool education,actively playing the key role of preschool teachers is an important driving force to achieve this requirement.Preschool teachers are important guides on the path of children’s growth and development,playing an important role in shaping good attitudes,behavioral habits,moral qualities,etc.for children.At the same time,preschool teachers are important supporters of China’s vast preschool education system,playing a crucial role in cultivating successors to the socialist cause,laying a solid foundation for the quality of China’s labor force,enriching the connotation construction of kindergartens,and promoting the continuous development of preschool education in different historical periods.The above role is the responsibility and mission of preschool teachers,and the key to ensuring their completion of this responsibility and mission is the professionalism of teachers.Therefore,from the perspective of mesomeric effect,it is of great significance to explore the role of preschool teachers’ self-efficacy in the process of the impact of professional identity on professional development to promote the professional level of preschool teachers and achieve high-quality development of preschool education.This study used a combination of questionnaire survey,statistical analysis,and semi-structured interview methods to investigate preschool teachers in teaching positions within 7 counties and 2 cities in Aksu Prefecture,Xinjiang.The survey was conducted from three variables: professional identity,self-efficacy,and professional development.After statistical analysis of the survey results,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)Preschool teachers are mainly female,middle-aged,and young,with stronger professionalism,Higher education level and significant improvement in salary and benefits;The evaluation of professional titles has become more standardized,with smooth channels for evaluation and recruitment,and an increase in the proportion of senior professional titles;Some kindergartens have started to pay attention to social needs and establish baby classes;The development of private kindergartens is slow.(2)Preschool teachers’ professional identity,self-efficacy,and professional development are all above average.(3)There is no difference in gender in professional identity and development,but there is a significant difference in self-efficacy;There are significant differences in career identity and professional development among age,teaching experience,salary level,and major studied,but there is no difference in self-efficacy;There are no significant differences in academic qualifications,staffing,and professional titles in terms of professional identity,self-efficacy,and professional development.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between professional identity and professional development,professional identity and self-efficacy,and self-efficacy and professional development of preschool teachers.(5)Preschool teachers’ professional identity and professional development jointly affect their professional development.Preschool teachers’ self-efficacy has a significant mesomeric effect between professional identity and professional development.Based on the research findings,the following countermeasures and suggestions are proposed:(1)enhance the social reputation of preschool teachers,deepen their professional cognition and emotional identification;(2)Improving the salary level of preschool teachers,implementing various social security measures,and alleviating work pressure,strengthening the professional will and sustained motivation of preschool teachers;(3)Reduce professional burnout,strengthen professional self-confidence,and enhance the level and intensity of self-efficacy of preschool teachers;(4)Strengthen the professional literacy of preschool teachers,including enhancing the specialization level of preschool professional students,guiding preschool teachers to actively improve their professional level,and strengthening their professional ethics cultivation.
