Research aims: to understand the overall situation of individual physical education teachers’ professional identity,organizational identity,teachers’ self-efficacy and job satisfaction,and to explore their internal differences from different dimensions;and to clarify the relationship between physical education teachers’ professional identity,organizational identity,job satisfaction and self-efficacy.Methodology: The study investigated and analyzed the professional identity,organizational identity,teacher selfefficacy and job satisfaction of 321 physical education teachers in Nanjing through literature,questionnaires and mathematical and statistical analysis.Findings:(1)The overall ratings of professional identity,organizational identity,teacher self-efficacy and job satisfaction were at a relatively high level in the study with physical education teacher teachers in Nanjing as the respondents.In terms of mean scores,professional identity was 4.611±0.436,organizational identity was 4.166±0.550,teacher selfefficacy was 4.650±0.511 and(2)Among the above four,there are significant differences in their scores from the perspective of different years of teaching experience,with professional identity,organizational identity and teachers’ job satisfaction all showing the same inverted V-shaped trend,with the highest scores for the group of teachers with 11-20 years of teaching experience,and a similar trend in teachers’ selfefficacy,but with the difference that teachers with 21-30 years of teaching experience had the highest scores;(3)analyzed at the level of teachers’ titles,both PE teachers’ identification with their profession and teachers’ self-efficacy gradually increased with the promotion of teachers’ titles;(4)PE teachers’ professional identification positively predicted teachers’ self-efficacy(Direct effect = 0.640)and job satisfaction(Direct effect = 0.414),and there was a partial mediating effect of teacher self-efficacy between career identity and job satisfaction(mediating effect of 35.11%);(5)PE teachers’ organizational identity positively predicted teacher self-efficacy(Direct effect = 0.628)and job satisfaction(Direct effect = 0.678),and there was a partial mediating effect of teacher self-efficacy between professional identity and job satisfaction(mediating effect of 13.74%).The study concludes that:(1)PE teachers’ professional identity,organizational identity,teachers’ self-efficacy and job satisfaction tend to increase and then decrease as their teaching experience increases;(2)PE teachers’ self-efficacy increased with the promotion of teachers’ titles;(3)Physical education teachers’ professional identity and organizational identity influenced teachers’ self-efficacy and job satisfaction respectively;(4)Teachers’ self-efficacy had a partial mediating effect in the influence of professional identity and organizational identity on job satisfaction. |
