| With the growing influence of e-sports,the State General Administration of Sport listed it as the 99 th official sport in 2003.After nearly 20 years of development,Chinese e-sports professional league is developing in full swing.E-sports events have a large audience size,which demonstrates a huge market potential.As the most representative e-sports professional league in the new era,King of Glory professional League has made great contributions to the development of e-sports in China.Taking China’s King of Glory Professional League as the research object,this paper uses literature method,video analysis method,expert interview method and other research methods to sort out the development process of King of Glory professional league and put forward optimization strategies.The research conclusions are as follows :1)The King of Glory Professional League has developed rapidly since its establishment in2016.It has established a complete tournament system,which has mainly gone through the initial stage,development stage and maturity stage.The offline home-and-away tournament system has been launched,and it has a tendency of vigorous development.2)King of Glory Professional League innovates the SAB competition system,determines the BO7 global BP+ peak showdown mode,clarifies the responsibilities and obligations of referees,and makes full use of technological auxiliary means to present wonderful games for the audience,improving the game’s appreciation.3)King of Glory professional League held a talent conference to send a large number of excellent players to KPL,and implemented the transfer system to facilitate the circulation of players.4)King of Glory Professional League has established a complete industrial chain,realized deep cooperation with partners in content exposure,product co-creation,scene sharing and content production,and created an e-sports ecology,opening a new era of commercial linkage of e-sports.5)The large player base of China’s King of Glory provides a guarantee for the development of King of Glory professional league.King of Glory is popular and influential in China.6)The King of Glory professional league has some problems,such as uneven player quality,lack of professional talents,influence of game attributes on the physical and mental health of minors,poor enjoyment of games,and insufficient revenue capacity of games.This study proposes the following optimization strategies to help the healthy development of the China King of Glory Professional League: 1)Actively promote the optimization of e-sports talent education,expand the scale of e-sports vocational education cultivate high-quality e-sports talents,implement a system of certified employment,refine the classification of e-sports professions,and fill the talent gap in the esports industry.2)Strengthen positive guidance for minors,improve policies and regulations on e-sports for minors,protect their physical and mental health,standardize the words and actions of e-sports practitioners,establish a positive image,and set an example for minors.3)Take multiple measures to improve the viewing quality of the event,establish a reasonable competition system,enhance the competitive ability of players,provide exciting e-sports performances for the audience,and use cloud VR and AR technology to achieve immersive viewing and optimize the viewing experience.4)Deeply combine the advantages of e-sports with urban development,and develop e-sports tourism to enhance the commercial revenue capacity of e-sports events.5)Comply with national policy guidance,make reasonable use of blockchain technology advantages to innovate e-sports IP,reduce operating costs,and achieve the upgrading of the e-sports industry through digital technology. |
