| As children move from kindergarten to primary school,they face huge changes in their learning environment,lifestyle and interpersonal interactions.A positive and effective transition from kindergarten to primary school can help them better adapt to primary school life.This study investigated two private kindergartens in Beijing to find out the specific situation of physical and psychological readiness education,life readiness education,social readiness education and learning readiness education in the kindergarten stage,and to explore in depth the issues of transition interface.The study found that the main problems of the transition interface were the uneven development of the various domains in physical and mental readiness education,the poor self-care skills of children in life readiness education,the lack of coherence in social readiness education and the ’primary schooling’ in learning readiness education.The main reasons for this are old-fashioned parental attitudes,lack of subjectivity,incomplete kindergarten guidance and inadequate supervision by the relevant authorities.In order to improve the implementation of the transition,the following suggestions are made to address the specific problems: firstly,to promote the concept of scientific education,help parents understand the laws of physical and mental development of young children,and improve the scientific nature of family education;secondly,on the premise of a comprehensive understanding of parents’ educational needs,respect the subjective status of young children and improve the autonomy of young children in the process of cooperation;furthermore,kindergartens should establish a common educational goal with families in addition,kindergartens should establish common educational goals with families,improve the education evaluation system and enhance the consistency of early childhood education;lastly,we should encourage cooperation between home and school to form a synergy in education,and improve the supervision and management function of government departments to eliminate the phenomenon of "primary schooling" in early childhood education. |
