A Comparative Study On Master’s Degree Thesis Of Physical Education Between Shanxi University And First-class Physical Education Universities

In 2022,two disciplines of Shanxi University were rated as first-class disciplines.Physical education discipline is also striving to become first-class disciplines.Dissertation is an important part of discipline evaluation.This study takes the thesis of master’s degree in sports science of Shanxi University and first-class sports universities(Beijing Sport University,Shanghai Sport University)as the research object.The main research content is topic selection,keywords,research methods,references and citation of the thesis.The literature data method,social network analysis method,comparative analysis method,word frequency analysis method and mathematical statistics method are used.The thesis of master’s degree in physical education of three universities is compared and analyzed in the way of horizontal and vertical combination,and the similarities and differences between the thesis of master’s degree in physical education of Shanxi University and first-class physical education universities are explored,and the relevant reference suggestions are put forward for the graduate students of the School of physical education of Shanxi University.The conclusion is as follows:(1)In terms of topic types,the proportion of basic research and applied basic research in the thesis of Master’s degree in Physical education of Shanxi University is higher than that of Beijing Sport University and Shanghai Sport University,while the proportion of applied research and development research is relatively small.(2)In terms of key words,the major of physical education and training focuses on "men","trampoline" and "athletes",and there are few researches on "teenagers" and "influencing factors";The major of sports humanities and sociology focuses on "stadium audience" and "qualitative research",and few studies on "sports industry" and "mass sports".The major of ethnic traditional sports focuses on the research of traditional sports related hot spots;The major of sports and human body science focuses on: "metabolomics","aerobic exercise","astaxanthin",and less on "skeletal muscle" and "surface electromyography".(3)In terms of research methods,compared with the other two universities,Shanxi University,physical education and training and traditional ethnic sports,the two majors using experimental methods accounted for a relatively low proportion of papers,while video analysis and comparative analysis accounted for a relatively high proportion,while the three schools of physical education and human science majors mainly conducted research on experimental methods;In sports humanities and sociology,the use of case analysis accounts for a relatively small number of papers,while the use of literature data method is much higher than other research methods.(4)In terms of citation frequency,the most cited papers of physical education of Shanxi University are less than those of Beijing Sport University and Shanghai Sport University.The citation frequency of physical education and training,traditional ethnic sports and master’s degree in sports and human science of Shanxi University was lower than that of Beijing Sport University(P<0.01),and there was significant difference.The citation frequency of master degree dissertations of traditional ethnic sports major of Shanghai University of Sport was higher than that of Shanxi University(P<0.01),and there was a significant difference.(5)In terms of references,the average number of domestic journals cited by Shanxi University was higher than that of Beijing Sport University and Shanghai Sport University,while that of foreign journals was lower than that of Shanghai Sport University(P<0.01),and there was a significant difference.The average number of citations from domestic journals was higher than that from Beijing Sport University,and the number of citations from conferences was higher than that from Beijing Sport University and Shanghai Sport University(P<0.01).The average number of Chinese journals cited in master’s degree thesis of traditional ethnic sports is higher than that of Beijing Sport University(P<0.01),and there is a significant difference.The average number of citations of domestic journals and master’s and doctoral papers for master’s degree in sports and human science was higher than that of Shanghai University of Sport(P<0.01),and there was a significant difference.
