The families of schizophrenia patients face economic,emotional,and physical and mental health difficulties to a certain extent during their care activities,with generally high psychological pressure and high levels of negative emotions.Current research shows that emotional and behavioral disorders in family members of patients with schizophrenia are mainly influenced by the clinical characteristics of the disease,the level of knowledge about schizophrenia,a sense of shame,caregiver burden,and social support.Researchers often intervene in the psychological problems of family members of schizophrenia patients from these aspects.The intervention methods for psychological problems of family members of schizophrenia patients can be roughly divided into individual intervention,group intervention,and comprehensive intervention.This study is based on internship experience at the Civil Affairs Bureau of Danjiangkou City.Based on typical cases,the negative emotions of family members of schizophrenia patients are taken as the entry point.Through literature research,interview,and scale methods,the case owner is investigated and studied.Based on this,combined with the results of the needs assessment of the research object,a social work intervention plan for the case is designed based on ABC theory and social support theory.Thus,a preliminary exploration is conducted on the role,limitations,and possible pathways of social work in intervening in the negative emotions of family members of schizophrenia patients.The research results indicate that the negative emotions of the patient’s family members are mainly manifested as feelings of anger,guilt,and anxiety.It was found that their needs include the need to transform unreasonable beliefs,emotional regulation,family emotional support,and the need to understand knowledge related to schizophrenia.Then,under the guidance of the professional values and methods of social work,we will carry out cognitive reconstruction,emotional regulation training,emotional support and improvement of the formal social support network for the case owner,alleviate negative emotions,help the case owner gradually recover a positive psychological state,enhance the psychological resilience and adaptability of the case owner,gradually establish a rational lifestyle,and at the same time,promote the family members to better understand the causes and symptoms of schizophrenia,In order to better support the patient’s rehabilitation process.Based on this,the research conclusion is that the family members of schizophrenia patients have high psychological pressure and more negative emotions;The rational emotional therapy model and social support theory have significant application value in the negative emotional counseling of family members of schizophrenia patients;The design and implementation of case intervention plans are key factors that affect the effectiveness of intervention;Family support plays an important role in emotional counseling for victims.And reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of applying relevant models and theories to families of schizophrenia patients,as well as the roles and task objectives of social workers.
