With the rapid development of current world, there is a growing huge demand for talents. The chemistry has been one of the most important supports in the progress of science and technology.Life is a world full of chemical knowledge.Chemistry study is a comprehensive process of interaction between the teacher and students. As an essential part of the core literacy of senior high school, scientific inquiry ability has prominent effects on promoting the creative thinking and study methods.ATDE teaching mode is a systematic teaching mode, including four fundamental steps: "Ask","Think","Do" and "Evaluation".It improves students’ scientific inquiry ability through cultivating their initiative and enthusiasm firstly.Eventually, the final goal of promoting the core literacy of high school students is achieved. In the thesis,we firstly sort out the current research status of ATDE teaching mode, and domestic and international development of scientific inquiry, and the basic principles to be followed.Under the guidance of construction theory, humanistic theory, meaningful learning theory and learning by doing theory, the questionnaire methods and interview methods were developed accordingly on the situation of implementation of ATDE teaching mode in high school and the scientific inquiry ability of high school students.Based on the features of ATDE teaching mode and basic principles of the scientific inquiry,a construction mode was developed combing both ATDE and scientific inquiry elements.Accordingly, three classes of high school chemistry course,“Dispersion and classification”;“Nature of sodium” and “Study on the composition of chlorine water” were designed and performed. The final data was analyzed and discussed.Through case design and teaching implementation,we have reached the conclusions as following: First, applying ATDE model based on scientific inquiry to classroom teaching can effectively cultivate students ’scientific inquiry literacy and improve their overall level of chemistry literacy;Second,ATDE model based on scientific inquiry can improve students’ chemistry performance. |
