A Study On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Pupils’ Parents’ Participation In Home-school Cooperation Under The Background Of "Double Reduction"

In order to fully implement the guiding principles of the 19 th National Congress and the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19 th Central Committee,and fully implement the fundamental task of improving morality and cultivating people,the state has promulgated the "double reduction" policy and related supporting policies since January 2021.The related policies of "double reduction" have made clear regulations on the participating subject,participating content and participating responsibilities,which also means that the home-school cooperation in our country is facing new challenges.Therefore,the discussion on the participation of primary school parents in home-school cooperation under the background of "double reduction" is of positive significance for promoting the implementation of the provisions on home-school cooperation in the relevant policies of "double reduction",and also provides practical demands for the development of this study.In this study,the overlapping domains of influence theory in management and the ecological theory of education in pedagogy are used as the theoretical basis.The literature research method,interview method and questionnaire method are used to analyze the content of home-school cooperation in 8 policies related to "double reduction".School leaders,front-line teachers,parents and students in charge of homeschool cooperation in three prefectural primary schools in C prefecture of Yunnan Province are interviewed.Parents and teachers in three primary schools were surveyed with self-designed questionnaires.The research finds that the parents of primary school students are very cognizant of the provisions and requirements on the content of home-school cooperation in the policies related to "double reduction",and have a very active participation attitude towards it.All parents have a high satisfaction with the behavior of home-school cooperation,but the actual participation of parents in home-school cooperation shows a low level.In the analysis of the factors affecting parents’ participation in home-school cooperation,it is found that increasing the level of policy publicity and policy supervision,the better the performance of parents’ participation,but the appropriateness of the policy and the implementation of the policy have no significant impact on parents’ participation behavior.The more active teachers’ and parents’ understanding of home-school cooperation,and the stronger the communication ability between teachers and parents,the higher the overall satisfaction of both parties on home-school cooperation;The more active parents’ understanding of home-school cooperation and the stronger parents’ communication ability,the higher the level of parents’ participation attitude,participation behavior and participation effect.Under the background of "double reduction",the existing problems of primary school parents’ participation in home-school cooperation are as follows:(1)the policy implementation standards of each school are not uniform;(2)The role of school practice education subject is not obvious;(3)Teachers’ ability to participate in home-school cooperation is challenged;(4)The degree of parents’ participation in home-school cooperation is low;(5)The core position of students in home-school cooperation is neglected.The reasons for the problems include: the school does not understand the purpose of the policy thoroughly;The sense of power and responsibility in home-school cooperation is not strong;Teachers lack competence to participate in home-school cooperation;Parents’ idea of family education has deviation;Academic achievement anxiety remains.In view of the above problems and reasons,countermeasures for parents’ participation in home-school cooperation are put forward from the three aspects of schools,teachers and parents: schools should ensure the implementation of the "double reduction" policy,strengthen the awareness of the rights and responsibilities of homeschool cooperation,and establish and improve the home-school cooperation mechanism;Teachers should update the concept of home-school cooperation,innovate the way of home-school cooperation,participate in home-school cooperation training;Parents should form the consciousness of "reducing the burden",take the initiative to carry out family education,take the initiative to participate in school education.
