In the report of the 20 th National Congress,General Secretary Xi Jinping pointed out that "we should enhance cultural self-confidence,develop a modern,world-oriented and future-oriented,national,scientific and popular socialist culture,stimulate the vitality of cultural innovation and creation of the whole nation,and strengthen the spiritual power to achieve the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation." Red culture film and television materials are an important manifestation of progressive socialist culture with Chinese features,and play an important leadership role in spreading and promoting the national spirit,cultivating and inspiring patriotic enthusiasm,and promoting and transmitting core socialist values.With the new round of curriculum reform,the state has put forward higher-level requirements for teaching Civics and Politics classes.In order to improve the effectiveness of teaching and learning in secondary school ideology and politics,the attention and research of educators and related researchers has increasingly focused on the acquisition and use of curriculum resources.The content of red culture films and videos and the values they convey are highly compatible with the teaching objectives of the new curriculum reform of senior secondary thinking and politics classes,and are an extremely important educational and teaching resource.In the era of mobile internet,red culture films and videos are "flying into the homes of ordinary people",which provides certain material conditions for accessing red film and television resources.This paper explores how red cultural films and videos can be better applied to the high school Civic Studies curriculum from the perspective of red cultural film materials.The study is divided into four chapters: Chapter 1 provides an overview of red culture film and television materials,clarifies the basic concepts,including the concept of film and television materials and red culture film and television materials,classifies and integrates the categories of red culture film and television materials,and summarises the characteristics of red culture film and television materials on this basis.Chapter 2 discusses the rationale and value of using red culture film and television materials in teaching philosophy and culture in secondary schools,including the theoretical,political and practical reasons for using red culture film and television materials,and the pedagogical and educational value of red culture film and television materials.Chapter 3 provides an overview of the current situation.Based on the five schools studied,this paper analyzes the effects and problems of using red culture film and television materials in secondary school civics and politics classes,and examines the problems and their causes in depth.The current problems in the teaching of red culture film and television materials in senior secondary school Civics classes are mainly attributed to four points: the guiding role of the output mechanism of talent training,the poor ability of teachers to explore and apply the value of red film and television culture,the lack of red culture activities in schools or the lack of formality,the solidified teaching evaluation method and the single assessment model.Chapter 4 introduces the application of red culture film and television materials in high school civics and politics classes,including the principles of using red culture film and television materials in high school civics and politics classes,specific implementation strategies.
