The process of physics learning is the process of conceptualizing scientific facts and gradually understanding more difficult concepts.The core concept is a high level summary of knowledge,which can solve the problem of students’ knowledge being not systematic;The essence of learning progression is to describe the gradually deepening thinking process of students when learning core concepts,that is,to construct learning progression around core concepts,which can help students form a good knowledge structure and establish a learning path that conforms to the laws of students’ cognitive development.In recent years,China has put forward requirements for cultivating students’ core literacy in compulsory education teaching.Therefore,this article constructs a learning progression of the core concepts of optics in junior middle school that integrates the core literacy of physics,hoping to be helpful to the teaching of junior middle school optics and develop students’ core literacy of physics.The main research work is as follows:(1)On the one hand,we have gained an understanding of the research status of learning progression,core concepts,and the cultivation of core literacy in the discipline of optical physics in junior middle schools,and explored the feasibility of applying learning progression to junior middle school teaching;On the other hand,relevant concepts were defined and the theoretical basis of this article was elaborated.(2)By sorting out the relevant content and basic concepts of optical topics in the "Physics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" and the People’s Education Edition textbooks,drawing concept maps,and interviewing junior high school physics teachers who have been teaching for many years in the frontline,the core concepts of junior high school optics have been determined.(3)By analyzing the chapter content arrangement of the optical theme in the textbooks of the People’s Education Edition,and referring to the core concepts of junior middle school optics that have been obtained,the advanced dimension is determined;Based on the hierarchical model of scientific concept understanding and development proposed by Guo Yuying’s team,an advanced hypothesis for learning the core concepts of optics in junior middle school has been preliminarily constructed.(4)Based on the constructed learning progression hypothesis,the "Test Paper for Optics Learning in Junior Middle School" was compiled to test students’ mastery of optical concepts.Based on the test results,the learning progression hypothesis was revised.(5)By exploring the core competencies of physics contained in the theme of junior middle school optics and how teachers can cultivate students’ core competencies in physics,planning the cultivation of students’ core competencies in physics from several advanced dimensions,and mapping the core literacy of the physics discipline to the advanced levels of each advanced dimension,It has constructed the learning progression of the core concepts of optics in junior middle school that integrates the core literacy of physics.(6)Based on the learning progression of the core concepts of optics in junior middle schools that incorporate the core literacy of physics,taking the advanced dimension of "reflection of light" as an example,a teaching design was made and teaching practice was carried out.Research results:(1)The core concepts of the subject of optics in junior middle school include light sources,light rays,linear propagation of light,reflection of light,refraction of light,and convex lens imaging;The subject knowledge of this subject mainly revolves around four aspects: "linear propagation of light","reflection of light","refraction of light",and "convex lens imaging".(2)Through the preliminary construction and revision of the learning progression of the core concepts of optics in junior middle school,the thinking path of students when learning the core concepts of optics in junior middle school has been obtained.(3)The teaching of the learning progression of optical core concepts in junior middle school with core literacy of physics can develop students’ core literacy of physics,help them better grasp the core concepts of junior middle school optical science,more effectively promote the learning level,and understand knowledge points with higher difficulty.
