| Emotional understanding plays an important role in children’s social developmen t.Communicating emotions and maintaining positive peer interactions are major devel opmental tasks for children,and face emotion recognition is a part of emotional under standing.Hearing impaired children are more likely to encounter difficulties in social adjustment due to their hearing impairment,especially after they start attending classe s,and interaction with class peers becomes an important aspect of adapting to life for hearing impaired children.Therefore,it is of high scientific value and practical signifi cance to conduct research on children’s peer interaction and the ability to recognize em otions that affect peer interaction.In Study 1,52 hearing impaired children and 60 hearing children were used to me asure the developmental characteristics of emotion recognition and peer interaction sk ills and the relationship between them in hearing impaired children aged 3-6 years usi ng the Emotion Recognition Designation Task and Peer Interaction Skills Scale,and th e moderating effects of demographic variables such as age and hearing status were ana lyzed.The results showed that children with hearing loss had lower face emotion reco gnition and peer interaction scores than children with hearing loss,and there were sign ificant differences in face emotion recognition and peer interaction between children w ith hearing loss in terms of age,place of birth,type of hearing loss and degree of heari ng loss.In the second study,the semi-structured interview method was used to conduct interviews with 6 parents and 8 teachers of hearing-impaired children,and the results of the test were restored to actual life situations,so as to improve the reliability of the research results,and to explore the existence of peer-to-peer interactions among hearing-impaired children.To provide new ideas and suggestions for improving the peer communication ability of hearing-impaired children.The results showed that hearingimpaired children aged 3-6 had problems such as limited number of friends,low acceptance of peers,mainly hearing-impaired children,high frequency of bad behavior in the process of communication,and easy neglect or exclusion.In addition to family,school and social environment factors,the reason for these problems,the emotional recognition and expression of hearing-impaired children is also one of the important factors.In conclusion,children with hearing impairment have difficulties in face-emotion recognition,which in turn affects the ability of peer interaction of children with hearing impairment,leading to problems such as limited number of friends,low peer acceptance,friends dominated by children with hearing impairment,high frequency of undesirable behaviors during interaction,and easy neglect or rejection. |
