In June 2020,Zhang Jingzhong’s teaching experiment of educational mathematics thought was carried out in Gansu Province.This experiment was guided by educational mathematics thought and based on new mathematics textbooks,breaking the convention of previous mathematics textbooks.Therefore,it is necessary to compare the similarities and differences between this textbook and traditional textbooks.This paper selects the seventh and eighth grade new ideas mathematics textbooks and the Beijing Normal University edition mathematics textbooks as the research objects.By consulting the relevant literature,it is determined that there are two research questions in this paper :What are the similarities and differences between the content structure of the two editions of textbooks ? How difficult is the content of the two editions of the textbook ?In the research process,this paper mainly uses the literature survey method,text analysis method and comparative research method.With the help of the textbook content structure analysis framework and the textbook content difficulty model,the content structure and content difficulty of the two editions of mathematics textbooks are compared and analyzed.In the part of content structure,there are great differences in the style structure between the two editions of mathematics textbooks.The mathematics textbooks of Beijing Normal University edition have designed pre-chapter pictures and pre-chapter phrases,and the column design is richer.The new ideas of mathematics textbooks are innovated,and the ’up and down search’ link is designed;in terms of content distribution,the content distribution of mathematics textbooks published by Beijing Normal University is relatively scattered,while the content distribution of new mathematics textbooks is relatively concentrated and systematic,and the sine theorem,cosine theorem and other related contents are supplemented.In terms of content presentation,the mathematics textbooks of Beijing Normal University are more flexible,the new mathematics textbooks are more rigorous,and the new mathematics textbooks introduce the super sketchpad in the mathematics experiment part.In the setting of examples and exercises,although the two editions of mathematics textbooks are significantly different in the number of questions,they all pay attention to the setting of traditional questions in the type of questions,and the new mathematics textbooks have more objective questions.In the part of content difficulty,the comprehensive difficulty of new mathematics textbooks is higher than that of Beijing Normal University edition mathematics textbooks.Among them,in terms of the difficulty of the text and the difficulty of the examples,the new mathematics textbooks are higher than the mathematics textbooks of Beijing Normal University;in terms of the difficulty of exercises,the mathematics textbook of Beijing Normal University Edition is higher than the new mathematics textbook.According to the above research conclusions,this paper puts forward the following teaching suggestions for the first-line teachers who use the two editions of mathematics textbooks :(1)Study the structure system of textbooks and scientifically formulate teaching plans;(2)Play the role of textbook columns and cultivate students ’ core literacy;(3)Grasp the characteristics of textbook compilation,carefully design teaching links;(4)Reasonable use of situational materials,the creation of effective teaching situation;(5)Carefully select examples and exercises to improve the efficiency of classroom teaching;(6)Pay attention to the application of information technology,enrich the teaching means.
