| The "Physics Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)" proposes the content and requirements of compulsory education physics curriculum based on core literacy cultivation. The core competencies that physics courses aim to cultivate students mainly include: physics concepts, scientific thinking, scientific exploration, scientific attitude and responsibility. Therefore, how to accurately implement the cultivation of core competencies in junior high school teaching has become the primary task of current physics curriculum teaching. The topic selection of the research on teaching design of junior high school physics units based on core competencies not only meets the new requirements of current curriculum standards for talent cultivation, but also is an urgent need to deepen the practice of basic education physics curriculum reform. On the basis of existing relevant research, this study combines constructivist theory, cognitive structure transfer theory, and multiple intelligence theory to explore the characteristics, elements, and related methodological paths of unit teaching design targeting core competencies. On this basis,a survey questionnaire targeting the current situation of junior high school physics teaching based on core competencies was designed to understand the current situation and existing problems of physics teaching based on core competencies in the sample areas, and corresponding solutions and countermeasures were proposed. There are five primary dimensions in the questionnaire, namely interest in learning physics experiments, physical concepts, scientific thinking, scientific exploration, and scientific attitude and responsibility. After conducting reliability and validity analysis on the questionnaire distributed by the research school and collected,it was found that the reliability and validity of the questionnaire were 0.967 and 0.965,indicating good reliability and validity. After analyzing the survey results,it was found that the ninth grade students of the school have the following four problems in terms of core literacy: firstly, students do not have a deep understanding of physics concepts after learning;Secondly, the construction of scientific thinking models lacks process guidance;Third, there is fragmentation in students’ physics learning and the learning efficiency is low;The fourth is that the cultivation of scientific attitude and responsibility in physics teaching has a single form and low student recognition.Based on the survey results, this study comprehensively considered the students’ learning situation and teaching environment, combined with teacher interviews and existing research results, proposed a unit teaching design strategy based on core competencies: systematic determination of teaching objectives, structured determination of teaching content, diversified determination of teaching methods, and diversified determination of evaluation methods. After implementing the teaching activities of the "Electricity and Magnetism" design unit based on the above teaching strategies, through a comprehensive analysis of the classroom and student grades,it was found that unit teaching design based on core competencies is helpful for cultivating students’ core competencies in physics courses and learning the "Electricity and Magnetism" content. |
