Research On The Relationship Between Social Support,Career Choice Attitude And Rural Teaching Intention Of Master Students In Physical Education Under TRA Model

The development of rural education is the key to the development of basic education.In recent years,the Ministry of Education has issued a number of policies to promote the construction of rural teachers,and attaches particular importance to the construction of physical education teachers.In the process of our country from sports power to sports power,the role of sports high-level talents cannot be ignored,however,the attraction of the post of rural teachers is not strong at present for high level or high educated community.As one of the important sources of PE teachers,it is of great practical significance to investigate the willingness of PE teachers to teach in rural areas.From the theory of rational behavior,it is found that good support is the "driving force" and positive attitude is the "booster" in the development of college students’ career.Therefore,it is necessary to fully grasp the promoting relationship between social support,career choice attitude and rural willingness to teach,analyze the existing weak points and put forward substantive suggestions from the root.In this study,fresh graduate students majoring in physical education in six colleges and universities in Shandong Province were selected as the survey objects.By using multiple methods such as literature and questionnaire survey,SPSS26.0 and Amos24.0software,252 valid data were collected for statistical analysis.Under the framework of rational behavior theory(TRA),this paper analyzes the characteristics of social support,career choice attitude and rural teaching intention of master students majoring in physical education as well as the influencing mechanism among them.The results show that:(1)the average scores of social support and career choice attitude are above the median of 5 points,indicating that the social support and career choice attitude of master students majoring in physical education are in good condition.There were significant differences in the location of family for all dimensions of social support(p<0.001),and significant differences in gender for emotional support.The emotional state dimension of career choice attitude only has a significant difference in the variable of family location(p<0.05),while the other dimensions have no significant difference in the demographic variables.(2)In the sample population,21.0% of master’s students majoring in physical education are willing to work as rural physical education teachers.As a whole,those who are willing to take rural physical education teachers as the first choice account for 12.3%,and those who are willing to take rural physical education teachers as the only choice account for 3.2%.There is no significant difference in demographic variables in the change of the willingness to teach in rural areas.(3)All dimensions of social support were positively correlated with rural teaching intention of master students in physical education(p<0.01),and the correlation coefficient r was between 0.186 and 0.286.Among the social support,only emotional support was correlated with the willingness to engage in rural physical education teachers,and the correlation coefficient was 0.174(p<0.01).All dimensions of social branch IV were positively correlated with their willingness to choose rural physical education teachers as the first and only career choice(p<0.01),and the correlation coefficient r was between0.163 and 0.380.(4)All dimensions of career choice attitude were positively correlated with rural teaching intention of master students in physical education(p<0.05),and the correlation coefficient was between 0.140 and 0.293.The cognitive state and emotional state in the attitude of career choice were positively correlated with the willingness to work in rural physical education teachers and the willingness to work in rural physical education teachers as the first and only career choice(p<0.01),and the correlation coefficient r was between 0.187 and 0.313.There was no correlation between the behavioral tendency and the willingness to take rural physical education teachers as the first career choice,and there was a positive correlation with other aspects(p<0.05),and the correlation coefficients were 0.156 and 0.158.(5)The dimensions of material support,suggestion support,emotional support and information support in social support were positively correlated with the cognitive state and emotional state in career choice attitude(p<0.01),and the correlation coefficient r was between 0.162 and 0.342.All dimensions of social support except material support were positively correlated with behavioral tendency in job-choosing attitude(p<0.01),and the correlation coefficient r was between 0.198 and 0.234.(6)The confidence interval of indirect effect of social support on rural teaching intention was 0.013-0.163,and the confidence interval of direct effect of social support on rural teaching intention was 0.071-0.379.The effect value of direct effect of social support on rural teaching intention was 0.225,accounting for 75.3% of the total effect.The effect value of social support on rural education intention indirectly through job-choosing attitude was 0.074,accounting for 24.7% of the total effect.Conclusions:(1)The social support and career choice attitude of physical education master students are at the medium level.(2)The intensity of rural teaching intention of master students of physical education is relatively weak.(3)There are significant differences in social support of physical education master students in terms of gender and family location;There are significant differences in jobchoosing attitude in family location;There are significant differences in the intention to teach in rural areas in terms of family location and single child.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between social support,career choice attitude and rural teaching intention of physical education master students.(5)Career choice attitude plays a significant part of the mediating role between social support and rural education intention,that is,social support not only has a direct impact on rural education intention,but also has an indirect impact through career choice attitude.
