Research On How Social Work Can Enrich The Leisure Life Of The Elderly In Poverty Alleviation Relocation Communitie

At present,the problem of aging population in China is becoming increasingly serious,and the leisure life of the elderly is receiving more and more attention.Especially for the elderly people in relocated communities who have relocated to poverty alleviation areas,there is no busy agricultural work after relocation,and their leisure time has significantly increased.The demand for enriching their leisure life continues to increase.The special characteristics of elderly people in remote poverty alleviation and relocation communities are mainly manifested in: although they come from rural areas,their social and entertainment needs are higher than those of rural elderly people due to the impact of relocation.However,compared to elderly people in urban communities,their cultural level and leisure cognition also affect their leisure life.Therefore,research on the leisure life of elderly people in relocated communities for poverty alleviation can help improve their traditional lifestyle and expand their circle of life and communication,enriching their leisure life;Furthermore,it can also help promote better integration of elderly people into the community and enhance their sense of belonging.Therefore,this article intends to conduct research on the leisure life of elderly people in poverty alleviation and relocation communities.With the elderly in F Street,Zheng’an County as the survey object,under the guidance of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory and advantage perspective theory,we collected data by participatory observation,questionnaire survey and interview,and deeply explored the characteristics and problems of leisure activities of the elderly in the relocation community for poverty alleviation.The survey results indicate that elderly people in poverty alleviation and relocation communities generally have ample leisure time,but there are problems such as high randomness in arrangement,low utilization rate of leisure places and facilities,single and passive participation in leisure activities,vague leisure values,and lack of correct guidance.In response to the above issues,the author intervened using the working methods of group work and community work.Group work mainly enhances leisure cognition and awareness by carrying out group activities such as hobbies,interpersonal communication,and self-development.In order to better consolidate the effectiveness of group activities,community activities are carried out to provide assistance.Community work mainly expands the leisure activities of the elderly from aspects such as elderly education,elderly sports,and promoting and inheriting traditional culture,in order to improve their understanding of leisure activities,experience the joy of leisure activities,solve their problems in leisure activities,enrich their leisure life,and improve their quality of leisure life.Research has found that through group activities,elderly people deepen their understanding of the concept of leisure and enhance their awareness of utilizing leisure time and space.Secondly,conducting diverse community activities is very important for the leisure and elderly life in the community.Community work has unique advantages in enriching leisure activities,expanding audience coverage,and meeting the leisure life needs of more elderly people.
