The Internet era is gradually changing people’s life and learning,APP as a product of the Internet era,favoured by all walks of life,especially the education industry,is gradually using it in teaching activities,students can learn through APP without the restrictions of time and space,teachers can also have more room to play,so as to improve the learning effect of students.At present,the teaching of gymnastics in universities mainly suffers from a lack of class time,a single teaching method and a lack of problem awareness among students.The PBL(Problem-Based Learning)method is a problem-oriented teaching method that focuses on developing students’ self-learning ability and stimulating their interaction and reflection.The combination of PBL and APP allows students to learn in a way that is not limited to the classroom,thus improving their learning efficiency and gymnastics skills.This paper mainly researches the application of APP-assisted PBL teaching method in the teaching of general gymnastics courses in colleges and universities.Students from 2 classes of Huizhou University in their general gymnastics courses were randomly selected as experimental objects to conduct a 16-week teaching experiment and literature review method,questionnaire,method research methods such as literature,expert interview method,mathematical statistics method and teaching experiments were adopted.Main research conclusions are as follows:(1)General gymnastics courses in colleges and universities are mainly taught by common teaching methods such as explanation and demonstration method.They are rarely taught with the aid of modern training aids.By applying APP-assisted PBL teaching method to the teaching of general gymnastics course,we can not only meet educational reform requirements,but can also effectively improve gymnastics skills of students.(2)After the experiment,students in the experimental class become more interested in the course than those from the control class.This indicates that the experimental class enhanced the multi-channel transmission of information by using teaching videos.Therefore,it is necessary to create a good classroom atmosphere for students so as to improve their study interest and stimulate their enthusiasm in learning gymnastic skills.(3)After the experiment,students in the experimental class have better independent learning capability than those from the control class,indicating that the experimental class teachers adopts the question-guided method to expand students’ thinking.This can help give play to students’ subjective initiative,help them control the whole learning process and improve their learning initiative.(4)After the experiment,students in the experimental class have higher teamwork ability than those from the control class,indicating that collaborative learning method for students in the experimental class is conducive to draw on wisdom of the masses and promote the common progress of students.
