| In recent years,the promotion of social,competitive and school football in China has faced multiple difficulties,especially in terms of attacking and scoring goals in high-level competitive football,while the English Premier League(EPL),as one of the "five major leagues of European football",has the most advanced operation and management mechanism and technical and tactical concepts,leading the way in modern football,It is an important window to show and analyse the characteristics and development trend of the world football game,and almost every season there are some new technical and tactical features,while the literature search shows that there is still a lack of discussion to keep up with the times.Based on this,this study will use literature reviews,expert interviews,questionnaires,video observations and case studies to study the 564 goals(excluding the own goal)scored in 248 matches of the top eight teams in the English Premier League in the 2021-2022 season,and analyze the three stages of attack initiation,development and goal completion before the goals are scored.This paper aims to reveal the characteristics and rules contained in what,clarify the development trend of frontier technique and tactics,and to provide a theoretical and practical basis for the development and application of techniques and tactics in the game and training of football in China.The results are as follows:(1)There is a significant positive correlation(p<0.05)between the top eight teams’ five offensive data,including the number of shots scored,the number of shots taken,the average ball control rate per game,the number of passes,and the success rate of passes,and the number of goals scored.This indicates that the level of these offensive data is the main factor affecting goals.(2)Characteristics of the attack initiation phase before a goal is scored: ball breaking in the midfield area and set pieces in the front area are the main ways to gain possession before a goal is scored,and defenders have become the key position for attacking in modern football.(3)Characteristics of the developmental phase of the attack before the goal: In modern football,a single side or central attack is no longer sufficient to meet the tactical needs.As a result,shifting the attack has become the key to breaking down defense and scoring goals.As the number of players,the number of passes and the time spent in attack increases,the number of goals scored decreases,indicating that simple and fast tactical play is the dominant trend in modern football scoring goals.In addition,there is a significant difference in the number of players,number of passes,time spent in attack and tactical form between the front and centre-back areas in terms of goals scored(p<0.05).(4)Characteristics of the end phase of the goal: The last pass is mainly made by the forward or forward position player in the forward area by receiving and adjusting to a ground ball or overhead ball;center passing and Give-And-Go and long-range shooting are the key tactical means to form a goal;the goal scoring method is mainly to grab the point shot,and the supplementary shot plays a significant role;3a and 3b in the penalty area and 7 outside the penalty area are the best areas to form a goal;left and right foot the shooting ability tends to be balanced,and the three-dimensional overhead kick technique and tactics have basically taken shape;due to factors such as physical fitness and tactical adjustment,the number of goals scored in the second half is slightly more than that in the first half;players in the forward position are the main force for scoring goals,but with the growing maturity of the all-attacking and all-defending tactics,the all-round player position function has become the basic development of modern football position characteristics. |
