| In recent years,with the continuous support of national policies,secondary vocational education has developed vigorously.But the problem of low learning engagement level of secondary vocational students still exists.How to improve students’ learning engagement in secondary vocational schools is a major problem that needs to be solved urgently.At present,Starting from the influencing factors,there are many studys exploring how to improve students’ learning engagement,but there are few studys on the impact of gratitude level,school belonging and coping style on learning engagement.Therefore,this study explores the impact of secondary vocational students’ gratitude level,school belonging and coping style on learning engagement,and constructs a moderated mediating model in order to provide practical help for secondary vocational students’ learning engagement.This study adopts the gratitude scale,school belonging scale,simple coping style scale and learning engagement scale to investigate the students of two secondary vocational schools in Hunan Province and the data were analyzed by SPSS software.The results indicated that:(1)The level of gratitude of secondary vocational students is above average.The level of school belonging of secondary vocational students is above average.The level of learning engagement of secondary vocational students is medium.The level of positive coping style of secondary vocational students is above average;The level of negative coping style is lower-middle-level.(2)There are no significant differences in secondary vocational students’ gratitude level,school belonging,positive coping style,negative coping style and learning engagement in gender and place of origin.There is no significant difference in secondary vocational students’ gratitude level in grades;There are significant differences in secondary vocational students’ school belonging,positive coping style,negative coping style and learning engagement in grade.There are no significant differences in secondary vocational students’ gratitude level and negative coping style in class type;There are significant differences in secondary vocational students’ school belonging,positive coping style and learning engagement in class type.(3)There is a significant positive correlation in gratitude,school belonging and learning engagement;Positive coping style has a significant positive correlation with gratitude,school belonging and learning engagement,while negative coping style has a significant negative correlation with gratitude,school belonging and learning engagement.(4)The gratitude level of secondary vocational students significantly predicts learning engagement,and school belonging plays a partial mediating role between gratitude level and learning engagement,that is,gratitude level can indirectly predict learning engagement through school belonging.(5)The positive coping style and the negative coping style regulate the relationship between secondary vocational students’ school belonging and learning engagement.Through this study,it is found that Secondary vocational students’ gratitude level,school belonging,learning engagement and coping style are related to each other.Secondary vocational students’ gratitude can not only directly affect the learning engagement,but also indirectly affect the learning engagement through the school belonging.The positive coping style and the negative coping style regulate the relationship between school belonging and learning engagement.Compared with individuals with low level of positive coping style,individuals with high level of positive coping style,school belonging has stronger impact on learning engagement;Compared with individuals with low level of negative coping style,those with high level of negative coping style has weaker impact on learning engagement.Based on the above results,this study puts forward some suggestions and countermeasures to enhance secondary vocational students’ learning engagement.First of all,based on improving students’ gratitude level,promote learning engagement.Secondly,to enhance students’ school belonging to the school as the core,improve learning engagement.Finally,we should cultivate students to adopt positive coping styles to help them invest in learning. |
