| With the rapid development of the society as well as the economy,the requirements of the society for professionals are becoming diversified and specialised,and talents in accounting are one of the key training objects of secondary schools at present.Therefore,it is imperative for secondary schools to strengthen the teaching effect of practical courses and cultivate professional and technical talents suitable for the needs of the society and enterprises.The subject "Corporate Finance and Accounting" is one of the core subjects for finance and accounting majors,but according to the author’s research and findings,the teaching reform of this course has not been paid attention to.There is an emphasis on theory rather than practice in teaching,and not enough attention is paid to the development of students’ practical skills.Students believe that understanding means they have fully mastered the knowledge and can apply it to practice,while ignoring the characteristics and interests of students.Situational teaching method has a long history and has been applied to different educational disciplines.It has also been widely used in secondary vocational school disciplines,and its unique value in the field of education has been confirmed by repeated tests in practice.The use of scenario-based teaching can stimulate students’ enthusiasm for learning,their active participation in the classroom,and help develop their thinking and problem-solving skills,and improve their comprehensive professional ability.Therefore,In this paper,the contextual teaching method is applied to the course "Financial Accounting for Business" with a view to improving the teaching effectiveness through the creation and application of the contextual teaching method.This paper is divided into six sections,as follows:The first section introduces the background and significance of the research in this paper,reviews the relevant domestic and foreign literature,and concludes with a description of the research methods and thoughts applied in this thesis.In Part II,this section introduces the concepts covered in this paper,defining the concepts and characteristics of context,contextual pedagogy,and a collated overview of the constructivist learning theory,contextual cognitive theory and social learning theory on which contextual pedagogy is primarily based.The third section,through interviews and questionnaires,the current teaching situation of teachers and students is summarized,and then the problems in the teaching of Corporate Financial Accounting are identified.Lastly,the viability of the application of the scenario-based teaching method in Corporate Financial Accounting in secondary vocational schools is analysed.The fourth part of the course is designed in terms of instructional analysis,introduction to the types of situations and the process of instructional delivery.Part five,the practical teaching of the contextual teaching method in the course of Corporate Financial Accounting will be carried out in terms of teaching front-end,teaching implementation process and teaching evaluation and reflection.The overall evaluation of the course and the results of the students’ questionnaires will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the contextual teaching method in this course.The sixth section is the conclusion.This paper summarises the research findings and drawbacks of this study,and makes corresponding proposals for the future application of the situational approach,in the hope of providing a reference for future research work. |
