With the in-depth advancement of quality education,the problem of adolescents’ mental health has become a topic of concern in academic circles.Vocational school students are a special group of young people,and their mental health issues have aroused widespread concern.The cultivation of the mental toughness of secondary vocational students is helpful to their mental health development.There is a close relationship between family parenting style and psychological toughness.At the same time,academic self-efficacy and psychological toughness have covariance.Therefore,discussing psychological toughness and influencing factors is of great significance to the development of secondary vocational students.On the basis of combing the domestic and foreign literature on mental resilience,this study used the Adolescent Mental Resilience Scale,Parental Rearing Style Scale and Academic Self-Efficacy Scale to randomly select students from high school to high school in Anyang City,Henan Province.448 students conducted a survey to understand the current status of mental toughness of secondary vocational students,explore the relationship between parental rearing styles,mental toughness,and academic self-efficacy,and examine the mediating role of academic self-efficacy between parental rearing styles and mental toughness,To provide guidance for improving the mental toughness of secondary vocational students,and to provide reference and reference for vocational schools to promote the mental health of secondary vocational students.The study found:First,the overall mental toughness of secondary vocational students is at a medium level.There are significant differences in mental toughness in terms of gender and grade.Among them,girls are better than boys in the interpersonal assistance factor;the second grade’s mental toughness is better than the first grade.Second,the parents of secondary vocational students are more inclined to adopt emotionally warm parenting methods.There are significant differences in the family parenting styles of secondary vocational students in gender and grade.Among them,boys are significantly higher than girls in father’s severe punishment,father’s excessive interference,father’s refusal to deny,father’s excessive protection,mother’s excessive interference,and excessive protection.The mother’s preference for the subjects is significantly higher than that of boys;the first grade students are significantly higher in their father’s punishment,father’s preference for subjects,father’s excessive interference,mother’s excessive interference and protection,mother’s refusal to deny,and mother’s severe punishment factor.The mother’s emotional warmth and understanding,and the mother’s preference for the subjects were significantly higher than those in the first grade.Third,the academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students is at an intermediate level.There are significant differences in the academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students in grades,and the academic self-efficacy of the second grade is better than that of the first grade.Fourth,the psychological toughness of secondary vocational students is significantly related to family parenting styles,and academic self-efficacy is significantly related to psychological toughness.Emotional warmth and understanding have a significant positive predictive effect on psychological toughness,and academic self-efficacy has a significant positive effect on psychological toughness.To predict the role.Fifth,academic self-efficacy plays a part of mediating role between family parenting style and mental toughness.The parenting style of parental emotional warmth and understanding indirectly promotes the development of psychological toughness of secondary vocational students through academic self-efficacy.The father’s excessive interference,the father’s refusal to deny,the father’s overprotection,the mother’s severe punishment,and the mother’s preference for the subject’s parenting style indirectly hinder the development of secondary vocational students’ psychological resilience by affecting their academic self-efficacy.Finally,based on the above research conclusions,provide corresponding educational suggestions for the development of family education for secondary vocational students and school mental health education.Improve parental upbringing methods(more care,support,understanding and recognition of children,less interference,and prudent use of punishment.),improve the sense of academic self-efficacy of secondary vocational students,and promote the healthy development of their psychological resilience.
