Novels play an important role in the Chinese teaching of junior high school.They pay attention to the portrayal of characters and reflect the social life with complete story plots and specific environment descriptions,which is of great help to improve students’ Chinese ability and cultivate the core quality of Chinese subject.The "reverse" of reverse design is compared with the "forward" design idea of traditional teaching design.The "reverse" thinking emphasizes that evaluation takes precedence over activities.Before the design of teaching activities,the corresponding evaluation tasks and evaluation criteria are set according to the teaching objectives,that is,teaching design is carried out according to the reverse design idea of "teaching objectives--teaching evaluation--teaching activities".So it’s called reverse design.At present,the classroom teaching of novels in junior middle school has not achieved the ideal effect.There are some problems,such as fuzzy teaching objectives,single teaching methods and lack of teaching evaluation,which is closely related to the teachers’ failure to carry out scientific and effective teaching design.Reverse design,as a new instructional design model emerging in the United States in recent years,takes "understanding" of students as its teaching goal and adheres to the principles of "goal-oriented" and "evaluation first",which can effectively make up for the shortcomings of traditional instructional design and has obvious effects in training students to understand the core content of the subject.The first chapter compares traditional instructional design and reverse instructional design.With Dewey’s educational thought,Bloom’s educational objective classification,Taylor’s objective model and Bruner’s cognitive structuralism as the theoretical background,reverse design’s principles of "goal orientation" and "evaluation first" effectively make up for the shortcomings of traditional novel design.Therefore,according to the theory of reverse instructional design,teachers should follow the ideas of closely following curriculum standards,giving priority to evaluation over activities,teaching for understanding and student-oriented when optimizing the instructional design of novels,so as to change the educational problems brought by the traditional instructional design of novels,realize effective teaching and promote the improvement of students’ core literacy.Chapter two analyzes the feasibility,necessity and practical requirements of novel reverse teaching design based on the unified edition of junior high school Chinese textbooks.The value orientation of teaching for understanding in reverse design conforms to the cognitive structure characteristics of students,the design method of evaluation first conforms to the evaluation concept of Chinese curriculum,and the result-oriented from beginning to end satisfies the arrangement characteristics of junior middle school textbooks.In the reverse teaching design of junior high school novels,we should pay attention to the design of evaluation criteria based on six aspects of understanding,take the Chinese curriculum standard as the program when setting the expected learning results,adhere to the organic unity of objectives,activities and evaluation,so as to achieve better learning results and move forward towards the expected learning goals.The third chapter investigates the Chinese teachers in the middle school affiliated to Henan University in Kaifeng by means of questionnaire and interview,and finds that there are some problems in the teaching design of junior high school novels,such as the pattern of teaching procedures,the incomplete grasp of students’ learning situation,the insufficient interpretation of curriculum standards,the single teaching method,the lack or single teaching evaluation,the mode of teaching standards and the tendency of being exam-oriented.Although teachers recognize and are familiar with the theory of reverse design and have a certain quality of instructional design theory,few cases are actually applied to the teaching of novels,essentially because teachers do not have in-depth research on reverse design.The fourth chapter takes Kong Yiji as an example to carry out reverse teaching design of novels.The author verifies the good effect of reverse teaching design of novels in junior high school from the feedback and evaluation of students and other teachers,which is helpful to promote the realization of the consistency of teaching,learning and evaluation.The reverse teaching design of novels should follow the logic of evaluation evidence and adhere to problem-guided teaching.At the same time,provide students with multiple opportunities to make mistakes in class.The teaching cases and reflections in this chapter provide valuable practical experience for the reverse teaching design of novels in the future.
