In 2016,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed in the construction of national political theory courses to "make all kinds of courses and ideological and political theory courses go hand in hand and form a synergistic effect".Since then,educators have generally begun to actively promote the practice of teaching ideological politics in the curriculum,paying attention to the organic combination of various courses and ideological elements.The curriculum ideological politics emphasizes the educational concept of cultivating people by virtue,which is of great significance for cultivating talents with all-round development,and the integration of ideological elements into the junior high school geography curriculum is a specific measure to implement the fundamental task of strengthening moral education and cultivating people.Therefore,this paper studies the current situation of the integration of ideological elements into geography courses from the perspective of curriculum ideological politics,and hopes to achieve the effect of improving the education of geography courses.In this paper,the literature research method,questionnaire survey method and classroom observation method are mainly used to study the current situation of the integration of ideological and political elements into the junior high school geography curriculum.First,through consulting the literature,analyzing the hot spots of education,and determining the background and significance of the research;Analyze the current domestic and foreign research results,and determine the research direction of this paper.Second,the basic concepts and theoretical basis are elaborated.Third,through the way of literature consultation,questionnaire survey and classroom observation,we can understand the current situation of the integration of ideological and political elements into the junior high school geography curriculum,point out the problems in the integration of ideological elements into the junior high school geography curriculum in terms of teacher concepts,student conditions,methods and ways and evaluation feedback,and analyze the reasons for them.Fourth,based on questionnaires and classroom observations,suggestions were made to incorporate elements of ideology and politics into the geography curriculum of junior high schools.Fifth,using the suggestions put forward,taking the eighth grade book of junior high school geography "The Governance and Development of the Yellow River" as an example,the case design of the integration of ideological and political elements in the junior high school geography curriculum was carried out.Finally,the main research conclusions,innovations,shortcomings and prospects of this paper are summarized.Through the investigation of the implementation of the current junior high school geography curriculum into the ideological and political elements,combined with the classroom observation,it is found that:(1)in terms of the ideological and political understanding of the curriculum,teachers lack a deep understanding of the concept of ideological and political education in the curriculum,and do not pay enough attention to the role of geography curriculum in educating people;(2)In the method of integrating ideological and political elements into geography courses,it is mainly based on the teaching method and lacks diversified approaches;(3)In terms of the integration of ideological and political elements into the atmosphere of the geography classroom,the classroom is not active enough,the students lack communication,and the overall atmosphere is not conducive to the integration of ideological and political elements;(4)There is a lack of comprehensive evaluation methods in the evaluation of the integration of ideological and political elements into geography courses.Based on the relevant literature research on the integration of ideological and political elements into the classroom,combined with the problems in the integration of ideological elements into the junior high school geography curriculum found by questionnaire surveys and classroom observations,the strategy for integrating the ideological and political elements of the junior high school geography curriculum is proposed in a targeted manner:(1)Teachers should clarify the concept of ideological and political education in the curriculum,and pay attention to infiltrating the ideological and political elements in the teaching activities;(2)Actively explore diversified teaching methods,and try to combine ideological and political elements with teaching content,life reality,and related cases;(3)Create a positive classroom atmosphere and improve students’ participation in the classroom;(4)Design a comprehensive evaluation method after the integration of ideological and political elements,and understand the students’ emotional experience after the integration of ideological and political elements from multiple angles.The innovation of this article is that the perspective of the topic selection is relatively new.Through reading literature,it is found that the current research on the integration of ideological and political elements into the classroom is basically concentrated in secondary vocational colleges,colleges and universities and senior middle schools,and there is less research on the integration of ideological and political elements in the classroom in junior high schools,and there is also a lack of investigation and research on the current situation of the integration of ideological and political elements in junior high school geography courses.This paper understands the problems existing in the ideological elements of the junior high school geography curriculum through a questionnaire survey,and further explores the path of integration of ideological and political elements,which is of certain innovation.
