Under the new context of curriculum reform,exploring teaching methods that promote student interaction and student subjectivity has become a key element in the reform of various subjects.Research has shown that,in practice,middle school IT classrooms still suffer from the problem of "Interaction formalization",with no interaction at the behavioral,emotional and cognitive levels.Team based learning can help to improve student interaction and ensure that students are the main subjects of learning,which is a feasible solution to this problem.The study follows the methodology of literature review,definition of concepts,identification of research questions,design of a team based learning application mode and validating the application.By studying the literature on student interaction and team based learning,this study is based on Michaelson’s theory and principles of team based learning,and aims to improve the application steps related to team based learning to address the current problems in student interaction in middle school IT classrooms.This study is based on Michaelson’s team based learning theory and principles.In practical terms,the application of team based learning can help improve the problems of student interaction in secondary IT classrooms.In terms of theoretical significance,it enriches the classroom teaching of team based learning in IT subjects and improves the team based learning design strategies and theories used to improve student interaction.The study starting from the necessity of interactive teaching and the real-life dilemmas of classroom teaching,this study addresses the following two main research questions.Question 1: How can team based learning be designed and applied in middle school IT classrooms? Question 2: Can the application of team based learning improve student interaction in middle school IT classrooms? The following research components were carried out to analyse the research questions.Firstly,we analyzed and summarized the current situation of research on "team based learning" and "student interaction" at home and abroad through literature research method.The study defines the meaning of "student interaction" and "team based learning".The questionnaire and interview methods were applied to analyze the problems of student interaction in middle school IT classrooms,and to design a team based learning mode to promote student interaction in middle school IT classrooms based on Michaelson’s team based learning theory.This resulted in the solution of problem one.Secondly,a quasi-experimental study was conducted in two parallel classes in Year2 of Fuzhou M High School to apply the team based learning mode designed in this study to the teaching practice of middle school IT classrooms and to verify the effectiveness and influencing factors of team based learning in promoting student interaction.Based on the implementation process and application effects of team based learning in middle school IT classrooms,the findings and shortcomings of this study were summarized and analyzed.This leads to problem solving II.The research results show that:(1)the application of team based learning mode in middle school IT classrooms promotes students’ cooperative communication and an increase in non-verbal forms of interaction in terms of behavioral interaction;in terms of affective interaction,it stimulates students’ deep interest in learning and creates a positive learning atmosphere;in terms of cognitive interaction,students’ independent learning ability is enhanced and their problem-solving ability is improved;(2)the application of team based learning mode in middle school IT classrooms application in middle school IT classrooms helps to enhance students’ learning efficiency and performance;(3)the application of team based learning mode in middle school IT classrooms,in terms of organizational skills,helps to develop students’ organizational and management skills and original cognitive strategies;in terms of independent learning skills,encourages students to think independently and reduces learning dependency;in terms of collaborative skills,develops students’ sense of cooperation and enhances their collaborative skills;in terms of problem-solving skills,developing students’ ability to apply learning strategies and encouraging them to learn in depth.Through the above study,the following conclusions were drawn:(1)the team based learning mode designed in this study can be applied to middle school IT classroom teaching(2)applying the team based learning mode can facilitate students’ behavioral,affective and cognitive interactions in middle school IT classrooms,(3)applying the team based learning mode has the greatest facilitating effect on behavioral interactions,followed by cognitive and affective interactions;(4)applying the team based learning mode can help improve student learning in secondary IT classrooms;(5)applying the team based learning mode can help improve student learning in secondary IT classrooms;(6)the "IF-AT Scratch Sheet" is an effective means to promote student interaction.
