With the continuous advance of the new round of curriculum reform, the new curriculum can be more fully understood and extended. The concept of teachers as dominants and students as body has been popular, Moreover, to build a harmonious teacher-student relationship, to release students’ personalities and to foster students’ comprehensive ability have made become interaction between teachers and students the first choice in senior high school. However, at present, many educators have no deep understanding of the connotation of effective teacher-student interaction and some phenomenon of inefficient or ineffective interaction is still rampant in senior high school mathematics class, which is not conducive to the common development and progress of teachers and students. Therefore, how to carry out effective teacher-student interaction has arouse great attention in research.Based on carefully reading the literature related to the interaction between teachers and students at home and abroad, some clear definitions to the key terms in the thesis are given like interaction, teacher-student interaction and interaction effectiveness. Secondly, an investigation is conducted in the form of questionnaires, interviews and classroom observation on the current situation of the teacher-student interaction in several classes from Huangzhou District No 1 senior high school. Thirdly, the data through investigation is analyzed based on teacher-student’s interactive awareness and 3D objective effect, teacher-student’s interactive assessment in multiple interaction contexts and teacher-student relationship in the process of interaction. Lastly, some practical suggestions are provided through analysis of students’ difficulties and influencing factors in the mathematics classroom effective interaction.Through several survey methods, it’s found that in the middle school mathematics classroom teacher-student’s awareness of interaction has some improvement, but there still exist some problems, mainly as follows:(1) the teacher-student interaction focuses much on examination;(2) the teacher-student interaction is only in a single form and the effects in different interactive situation are totally different;(3) the teacher-student interaction is rarely combined with real life examples and no enough attention is paid to mathematical modeling.(4) in teacher-student interaction, the ability of multimedia resources and mathematics integration is lack;(5) the relationship of teacher-student interaction is not enough democratic. Then according to the teacher-student interaction problems,some effective strategies to teacher-student interaction are put forward.
