Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, especially marked by the convening of the National Graduate Education Conference,China’s graduate education has changed from the stage of scale growth to a new stage of highquality development.Graduate quality has become the core issue of graduate education development.Academic publication is an important form of strengthening academic training,an important index to test the quality of graduate students, and an important basis for graduate students’ career choice. Therefore, the publication of postgraduates’ papers is generally valued by colleges and universities and tutors. Many colleges and universities require postgraduates to publish an academic paper before graduation defense, that is,the publication of postgraduates’ papers is “rigidly linked” with the award of degrees. However,as master students are in the entry stage of academic research, there are many deficiencies in theory and practical application.Whether the quantitative assessment policy based on the publication of papers is appropriate is worth discussing. Therefore, this study takes the academic master students of X University as the main research object, and uses the interview method to conduct semi-structured interviews with 18 master students covering multiple disciplines,in order to obtain the publication of academic papers of master students in different disciplines, and from the perspective of discipline culture From the perspective of student development, this paper explores the impact of academic publication regulations on master students’ academic training. It is found that master students have different attitudes towards the regulation of paper publication. Some master students recognize the regulation and have a clear concept of paper publication;Although some master students know the importance of thesis publication, they have many difficulties in academic publication; Some master students hold a negative attitude towards the regulations on the publication of papers, which can be divided into four categories: “published identity”,“published disapproval”,“unpublished identity” and “unpublished disapproval”.Different attitudes also affect their later academic behavior and performance. At the same time, the disciplinary differences between publication regulations and cognition are compared from four parts: tutor guidance, subject research, thesis writing and academic experience. In addition, through the analysis of the interview data,it is concluded that the typical modes of academic publishing of master students under the background of publishing regulations are mainly divided into three types: active adaptation, obedience, and passive type.Specifically, the active adaptive type includes two stages: “adjustment”and “internalization”.In the “adjustment” stage, master students believe that publishing can improve their understanding of academic research, improve your own requirements and prepare for a variety of careers.etc.;“Internalization” is a higher level of acceptance, with initiative and firmness. The obedient type mainly refers to the process of complying with the academic publishing regulations, including two types: “conformity”and “obedience”;passive type means that master students have a passive attitude towards the dissertation publishing regulations and lack motivation to conduct independent research,“I just want to take the motivation of academic degree” and the strong attachment to the tutor are its main manifestations. In terms of the dual influence of the dissertation publishing regulations on the academic training of master students,it is mainly expounded from the positive and negative influences.Specifically, the quality assurance of the dissertation, the improvement of scientific research ability, and the dynamic mechanism are the main positive effects;the invisible pressure,short-term thinking, quick success, and academic interest damage are the main negative effects. Then, from the “project-driven” and “interest-driven” analysis, the impact path of the dissertation regulations on the academic training of master’s students is analyzed, and the discussion is made based on the links of topic selection, writing and submission. Finally, this study further discusses and reflects on the publication behavior of master’s thesis from four aspects: understanding and evaluating the publication regulations of master’s thesis, the relationship between the quantity and quality of academic publication, discipline culture and academic training methods, and master’s training orientation,in order to help improve the training methods of master’s students in China and make a reasonable orientation for master education,At the same time,I hope that the master student group can seriously examine the value of academic training,so as to improve the training quality of master students.
