A Study On The Involvement Of Group Work In The Integration Of Community With The Elderly

The continuous advancement of urbanization has brought about a large number of floating population,which makes the number of old people in cities increase year by year,which also poses new challenges for the community home care mode.At present,when the old people move away from their original place of residence,their social network is broken,and their activity scope is narrowed,thus producing negative psychology.Meanwhile,their physical function declines,their learning ability is low,and they are difficult to adapt to the new urban environment,new language communication,and new cultural atmosphere.As a result,there are many problems that need to be solved urgently.This thesis studies the accompanying elderly in Y community of Hangzhou City.Guided by Maslow’s theory of needs and the theory of people in situations,this thesis analyzes and defines the current integration difficulties faced by the accompanying elderly in Y community.At the same time,it conducts semi-structured interviews with the accompanying elderly in the community in the way of qualitative research,and understands the accompanying elderly through observation.And collect relevant information.To understand the practical difficulties the old people have encountered in their lives by means of questionnaire.Afterwards,the results of the interview and questionnaire were sorted out,including the age,education,economic sources,reasons and adaptability of the old people living with them in Y community,so as to have an overall understanding of their adaptability to the community.Based on the above data,the author concludes that the elderly in Y community mainly face life and identity difficulties when integrating into the community,and points out that this dilemma is caused by identity anxiety,little family support,and weak Internet connection.According to the results of the survey,the author believes that the elderly living with them have three basic needs when completing community integration,and they have actual needs in terms of adapting to the new life,making friends and living richness.After the investigation,the author evaluated the feasibility of the group work after analyzing the necessity of the group work,recruited ten old people from Y community as service objects,and worked out seven group activity programs for the main purpose of making them better integrate into the community.After the end of the group activity,the attendance rate,the achievement of the group goal and the satisfaction of the service were evaluated.Then,based on the evaluation,the author reflected and summarized the group’s involvement in the integration of the old people in Y community.According to the achievement of the group goal,it is considered that there are still two deficiencies in the intervention of group work,that is,the lack of family members to join the group activities and the low utilization of community platform resources.Accordingly,relevant countermeasures are put forward,including family members into group activities,and establishing a perfect network support system.On this basis,the author from two aspects of social work cases and community work methods,how to improve the involvement of community work in the integration of the elderly community integration.
