Intercollegiate relationship among universities is an important factor affecting the construction of higher education system,and optimizing intercollegiate relationship among universities has become a content that cannot be ignored to promote the construction of higher education system.The new media technology makes it possible to transmit relevant information faster and more widely within the group,which effectively expands the way of contact between individuals and enhances their interaction,enthusiasm and participation.With the rapid popularity of new media in recent years,many universities have opened and built their own official new media accounts one after another.The intercollegiate connection formed in the cyberspace is an apt mapping of the relationship between colleges and universities in reality.At present,the research results on intercollegiate relationship are relatively few and limited in perspective,and there is a lack of empirical research.Therefore,it is necessary to systematically analyze intercollegiate relations from the perspective of new media,explore the current intercollegiate relations network pattern,find the key factors affecting intercollegiate relations network,and propose strategies to optimize intercollegiate relations and strengthen the construction of educational new media.This study summarizes the research results on intercollegiate relationships and network structure characteristics at home and abroad,and compares the background,purpose and significance of intercollegiate relationship network research in the new media perspective.Based on the complex network theory,opinion leader theory,core edge theory and relevant literature,we use social network analysis to measure the structural characteristics of intercollegiate relationship network by selecting indicators such as network density,clustering coefficient and point centrality.The structural characteristics of the intercollegiate relationship network are measured by using the social network analysis method,including the visualization analysis of the network space structure,the analysis of the overall characteristics of the network,the analysis of the characteristics of individual nodes in the network and the analysis of the characteristics of the network structure,which are used to find the shortcomings of the current intercollegiate relationship network.Then,on the basis of referring to related literature,10 explanatory variables affecting inter-school relationship network are proposed to be selected from four aspects: development level of colleges and universities,microblog account activity,microblog account network participation and spatial proximity to construct the influence model of inter-school relationship network in the new media perspective,and finally QAP correlation and regression analysis methods are used to gradually verify the role of several factors on inter-school relationship network and reveal the key factors affecting inter-school Finally,QAP correlation and regression analysis were used to verify the role of several factors on the inter-school that,firstly,the intercollegiate relationship network established by the connection of concern relationship has taken shape,and all college nodes have two-way connection relationship and various network connection forms,but the intercollegiate relationship network also has the problems of weak overall cohesiveness and insufficient connection among college nodes.Secondly,the results of centrality measurement show that the influence and control power of different nodes of colleges and universities differ significantly,and a few core nodes occupy important positions and control the main resources in the network.Thirdly,the intercollegiate network shows obvious "core-edge" characteristics,and there are more colleges and universities located in the edge area with relatively passive status.Fourthly,the current intercollegiate network can be divided into eight different subgroups,and the formation of intercollegiate associations is driven by the hierarchical categories of institutions and their geographical locations.Fifth,the number of national key disciplines of colleges and universities,the number of followers owned by official microblog accounts of colleges and universities and geographic adjacency show a positive relationship with intercollegiate relationship network,while the number of master’s and doctoral degree authorization points of colleges and universities,the number of national specialties of colleges and universities and the number of all tweets published by official microblog accounts of colleges and universities have a negative effect on the formation of intercollegiate relationship network.Therefore,the key to strengthen inter-college ties needs to enhance the overall cohesiveness of the network,while improving the attractiveness of marginal colleges and universities.In addition,the construction work of new media in colleges and universities should be continuously promoted to give full play to the value of new media in colleges and universities and carry out propaganda and education work with its help.
