With the introduction of innovation-driven development and innovative national strategies,the wave of innovative thinking is deeply and strongly affecting engineering archives management.The new thinking modes,management methods and technologies generated by innovation impact the traditional archives management model,which bringing opportunities and challenges to archive engineering management.In this context,innovation is regarded as an important thrust to create a new situation for engineering archives management,how to integrate innovative thinking modes into its all aspects,and achieve effective organization of all innovative activities through a structured and systematic way is worth thinking about and explore.Therefore,this research attempts to build a complete and compact innovation management element system of engineering archives from the perspective of overall innovation.The main content are as follow:(1)Based on a multi-angle review of relevant domestic and foreign research,this research explores the limitations of existing research,draws on the enlightenment of existing research,and grasps the frame and perspective of the research.The research also defines the relevant core concepts on the basis of summarizing the commonality of existing concept definitions,and systematically combs and analyzes the connotation,characteristics,and internal element dimensions of the Total Innovation Management Theory(TIM Theory),so as to clarify its dimensional reference and theory support for engineering archives innovation management.(2)The research specially designs the whole research process:for one thing,applying qualitative interviews and topic coding to identify and excavate innovative elements,which provides data sources for the construction of the initial system;for another thing,applying questionnaire surveys to collect and statistic expert opinions on the initial system,which provide data sources for initial system evaluation and improvement.(3)Based on the coding results of qualitative interviews and combined with the characteristics of engineering archives management activities,this research reconstructs the element dimensions of engineering archives innovation management,and refines the constituent elements of each dimension,analyzes its connotation and extension;and clarifies structural elements,exploring the hierarchical and functional relationships between different elements,forming an initial system of engineering archives innovation management elements based on TIM theory.(4)According to the results of the expert consultation questionnaire,the research analyzes the expert recognition and coordination degree of the initial system constructed from statistical indicators such as mean,standard deviation,and coefficient of variation.Combining the data analysis and expert opinions,the research improves the initial system from the two aspects of component element modification and structural element optimization,forming a complete engineering archives innovation management element system.Through the above research process,the main conclusions of this research are as follows:(1)The element system of engineering archives innovation management under TIM theory takes strategic innovation,cultural innovation,institutional innovation,organizational innovation,technological innovation and knowledge innovation as element dimensions,including 15 core innovation elements and 40 innovation sub-elements.(2)The element system has obvious hierarchical characteristics,which is mainly reflected in the three different levels of "factor dimension","core innovation elements" and "innovation sub-elements" have a relationship that the upper level includes the lower levels.(3)The element system has relation from macro,neutral and micro perspective,it can be integrated into the ideological and cultural layer,organizational management layer and business operations layer from the consistency of concept.(4)The element system has obvious internal relevance in the horizontal structure,which is mainly embodied as "institutional innovation is the core element for innovation,strategic innovation guides the direction of innovation,cultural innovation stimulates innovation vitality,organizational innovation provides innovation guarantee,technology innovation drives the innovation engine,and knowledge innovation exploits the source of innovation".
